    We booked this hotel because we are taking the Amtrak Cascades to Canada Vancouver early in the morning. This hotel is cross street from the Seattle King street station. We went to the train station to check in at 7 and then went back to Embassy for breakfast before check out from hotel. At 8, we went to the train station for boarding. Perfect timing! We stayed here for 2 nights and walked around the Seattle downtown area. It’s about 20-25 minutes walking from the hotel to Pike place market. However, it’s uphill towards downtown, nice walk and we felt safe during day times. The two days we stayed there, 2 out of 4 elevators were out of work. I have seen people with kids and luggage walked down by stairs from 11th floor because it was a long waiting for the elevator. I waited for more than 10 mins still can’t get in the elevator. Every elevator stopped was full of people. It’s ridiculous for such a big hotel (23 floors), only 2 elevators are working. When everyone is trying to check out at around 10 and cleaning crew with their carts trying to get to work, it’s a disaster. Luckily, I was just going to walk around, no luggage and able to walk down by stairs. Yes, I ended up getting down by stairs from 11th floor after a long long waiting. The breakfast is average, the only highlight is make to order omelet and eggs. Embassy is not the same as the old days. Evening reception is nice though. Overall, I think this hotel is just fine, overpriced. I would stay somewhere else if not for the train ride.

    The hotel was fine, there were however protests going on during our entire stay. Waking us up early in the morning marching and banging drums, and you also had to walk through that mess everytime coming and going from hotel. So our stay was not great, wish I would have been notified upon booking that this may have been going on.

    Location is superb. Breakfast has a great variety however no gluten free bread or pastries. Staff at reception not helpful, lazzy and very unattentive.
