After having several incidents occuring, from not having a requested taxi waiting for us at 2am in the morning, to being overcharged, provided an incorrect room and lack of respect/professionalism from the staff we ended our stay early. Needless to say we were very let down by the entire experience.

This was the fourth hotel we stayed in during our three weeks in Zanzibar. It was also the most expensive in this hotel range 3/4 stars so our expectations were naturally higher, especially given the photos online. Unfortunately, on arrival we felt a little underwhelmed.
Nothing in particular stood out as a highlight—it was all very average. The service was fine; staff were polite, caring, and kind throughout our stay. The pool and grounds were well maintained, and the housekeeping team did a lovely job with the rooms.
On the other hand, the food options were very limited, with little that reflected local flavors beyond the ingredients themselves. A small but telling example of the missed opportunities: no fresh drinking water was provided in the room. Guests had to purchase water from the bar or walk to a local market about five minutes away.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t a great one either. For the price point, the resort could offer so much more with some relatively simple improvements.
