Initially, I booked the hotel with the mountain view but upon arrival, I upgraded to the ocean view of Matsushima bay. It was pricey, of course, but worth the view. The breakfast buffet was great for my whole-foods plant-based (vegan) family. Dinner, however, was a different matter. It was seafood galore, so for seafood lovers, this is the hotel for you. For my family, although the seafood dinner buffet was challenging but we made do. Room was spacious and having upgraded to ocean view, it was a traveler's dream to wake up with an amazing view. I also loved the onsen because there was an indoor and outdoor baths. So I took the outdoor baths. It was an amazing experience. I loved soaking in the hot water with my head cooled from the fall-weather air. I highly recommend staying at this hotel but minus the dinner option for those who are not into seafood.
