I booked the junior suite room, which was on top floor. Hotel itself is small, elevator is dingy, moldy and stinks. Room was somewhat clean, molds here and there. I could get by that. But, First night in, a cockroach the size of my thumb crawled across the room and i was barely able to catch it, followed by 2 small roaches that crawled into some hole. I went to the check and notified the staff, who offered a room change to a regular, double room. Obviously I wasn’t good with that. I told the staff member I couldn’t stay there any longer and requested to cancel the booking. The staff contacted his supervisor who said the cancellation will be granted and I will be refunded in full. They even let me stay the rest of the night while I arranged for new hotel. Next day when I was checking out, I was notified by another staff that the cancellation was refused, and that they will not provide a refund. After I told them that I had paid for another hotel because initially the refund was granted, all they said was “yeah that sucks. Oh well.” I didn’t even bother arguing. I am just going to have my bank cancel the payment. Not even going to consider staying there again.

We stayed for slightly about two weeks (quite a long stay for a hotel). Overall we were satisfied of the service, it is very close to metro stations, in a quiet area although you walk one street down then it is very lively. The breakfast was simple yet was good. We love the curry in the morning. Getting water every day was also very nice. The only feedback I have is cleaning could have been more thorough. We realized toward the end of our stay that they only changed beddings, but not clean much in the bathroom.

I had a pleasant stay at H Avenue Hotel Idae Sinchon during my trip to Seoul! The hotel’s location was convenient for exploring the city, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, cafés, and nearby shopping areas. It was a great base for discovering Seoul and experiencing the local atmosphere. The room provided a comfortable place to rest after long days of walking and sightseeing. I also appreciated being in the Sinchon area, which has a lively neighborhood vibe and plenty of food options nearby. What I also love is the nearby Coin Laundry just beside across the building. Overall, H Avenue Hotel Idae Sinchon was a good choice for my Seoul adventure, especially for travelers who want convenient access to the city while staying in a vibrant neighborhood. Thank you for being part of my memorable autumn trip to Korea! 🍂🇰🇷 Would I recommend it? Yes, especially for travelers looking for a convenient base for exploring Seoul.

Location is good not far from subway and Hongdae. Room is tiny. The bathroom has smell. Plug can use only 30%. By the way the location is good and price is reasonable.
