    I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, although the facade looks dated, the rooms were spacious. In close proximity to the higashi chaya district, kenrokuen garden and Omicho Market. the hotel also offers a free shuttle to Kanazawa Station where we did some mall shopping. Pretty good experience!

    For a great location in Kanazawa the KKR is hard to beat. Right next to the castle and walking distance to Kenrokuen, Higashi Chaya and the Contemporary Art Museum. Gracious staff and comfortable, reasonably priced rooms. The Japanese style rooms have proper futons and shoji. Very quiet. Japanese style breakfast buffet is also to be recommended. This is not high luxury but it is very comfortable.

    I came to stay last minute booking and got a Twin room and was spacious for its price with breakfast included! View from the restaurant is great too, right next to or behind the castle even though you can only see the walls. Will stay here again!

    It’s good for desperate times It’s clean and has basic necessities Room was unbearably hot Complimentary coffee is chargeable Even though my booking said that I can cancel for free, I couldn’t cancel & that was that It was not very Japanese way that I have got accustomed to and appreciative of
