    If you are looking for tranquility and to be amidst nature this is it. Wake up amidst the chirping the birds, river flowing nearby and in the evening the calmness of the starlit skies- Lchanang invites you. But in terms of paid experiences it is pricey you can avail the limited complimentary services like rock painting, village walk, community bonfire, high tea. Not much activities for young kids - I found only two colouring books which was most filled up. Unlike other five stars which have play area for kids this one does not. But it is safe for family. Activities you have to explore on your own.

    The hotel is located at an isolated place, some distance away from the Sumoor on the left side of the road near to the bank of Shylock river. Property is maintained in very poor taste. Some important and basic amenities are missing, like rooms have no wardrobe, no proper arrangement for hanging the clothes either, no TV, no fridge, no full height mirror in the room, no carpets on the floor, no toothpaste and toothbrush in the bathroom. I stayed for 2 days and in daytime the weather was very hot. There is AC installed in the room but I was strictly advised not to turn it on?? So, why did they install it. Is it some kind of showpiece or dummy AC. some lights in the room were not working. The paint was peeling from the furniture. There is no carpet in the room. They don’t have in-room dining service also, so there was no menu available in the room. In bathroom, water was ponding. Very disgusting indeed. Old staff informed that previously the hotel was well managed but now a new manager has joined and he is recruiting all personnel from his state only and lot of guests are complaining about the poor state of the hotel. The food taste is also pathetic. Property has lot of open area but it is not maintained, wild grass is growing everywhere. No flower beds. They don’t have swimming pool or any interesting recreational facility either. The rent for the room is exorbitant! I really wonder, what for they charge so much and why is it called a 5 star property. It can at best be a 1 star (or no Star) property.
