    The staff at Casa Esmeralda were super helpful and our room was great! The location was near the heart of Cusco which made traveling by foot easy for us. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend!

    This hotel is well kept but there were some snafus as well as confusion with our reservation. We reserved 5 rooms but were only given 4 due to some confusion between Agoda and the hotel. However, without getting into the details, the hotel probably overbooked and just didn't want to admit it as we had 4 rooms reserved one night and 5 the other. In addition, 3 of our 4 rooms had warm-ish water while the other room fortunately had hot water for their shower. The location isn't in the greatest part of town but we did feel safe walking around. It just took a bit longer to walk to the historic part of Cuzco. There were definitely some ups and downs, but in the end we probably won't stay here again.
