I came through Paris for a concert, and I picked this hotel because it was only a 20 minute walk from the concert venue. It was a simple room and set up, although not as clean as I would have liked but I at least could tell the bathroom and sheets were clean so that was a win. The hotel had a lovely communal garden with food from a neighboring cafe available for extended hours. The area around the hotel was safe, and there were plenty of food options right on the same street. I was never given any wifi information, as the person working the front desk only spoke French so there was very little actual communication beyond pointing and a few sentences translated with Google. Overall, not a bad hotel for a quick trip where you aren't expecting to spend extended time in the hotel. It certainly worked for me :)

We had an awful experience at Hotel Rachel in Paris. And an awful experience booking through Hotels.com. Firstly, the guy in the reception would not let us check in to our room. His reason being that we arrived after the reception had closed. The only problem was that we had booked through Hotels.com with the promise that we would be able to check-in until midnight. After about 30 minutes of discussion with the guy at the reception he finally gave us a key. Upon entering the room an awful smell of sewage hit us. The room was definately not clean, as witnessed by the odor of sewage and the cobwebs in the corners of the room. When we booked the room we payed extra to have our own bathroom, which was a waste of money, since the toilet wasn't even able to flush. At this moment we were already looking for other hotels online. But the thing that made us leave the hotel immediately, and go outside with our luggage on the street searching for new hotels, was the fact that we found mold on the walls, particularly in the wardrobe of the room. A clear health risk that didn't seem to bother the hotel at all. We called Hotels.com's support line to ask for a refund of our money, but the answer was: "Unfortunatly we can't give you the money back, unless the hotel agrees to it". Mind you this is the same hotel that do not hold up the agreement on check-in times made, and that deams it fit, to put a pregnant couple in a mold infested hotel room with an unflushable toilet.

The walls are super thin, we could hear every noise from other guests, it was cold and no thick duvet was provided, no hair dryer nor shampoo. Only cash payment on the property. The area was not that bad; kebab and a convenience store and a cafeteria.

There is no AC at this place and the front desk does not speak English. Only stayed at this place because it was the cheapest around but it would have been much better to pay that extra $20 a night than to stay here. Definitely would not recommend for tourist who don’t know English and are used to AC.

Well the price matches the hotel. They don’t give you a rag or soap, good thing a supermarket is couple feet away. To buy anything they don’t have. Would not recommend unless you working with a very very small budget.

I booked the room for 4 nights. Property pictured was not the same as the accommodations. Very dirty room in bad neighborhood. Shower and bathroom are not attached to room. You must cross a courtyard that is shared with complex. I stayed less then 20 mins. I wasted a large part of my travel day finding another room which was available. I also had to spend much more because my original reservation was made in advance.

What was advertised,was absurdly not the reality.Hotel Rachel Paris was nothing but a fraud. No one who has an intention of having a good holiday should ever visit the place. At the end,one cannot even have a receipt for the ripoff,as I couldn’t get one,tried as I did.Highly disappointed,and wouldn’t recommend Hotel Rachel to anyone.

The staff were helpful, but the room had damage (broken floor, damaged shelves), lighting was poor and the wifi didnt work at all (even after paying the 3 euros). They would also not provide an invoice. DO NOT BOOK for business travel.

The hotel was quite dirty and moldy. Some parts of our room had clearly visible mold on the walls and we had to sleep with the windows open. The bed covers had cigarette holes etc. on them. The only positive thing about this was that there was not bedbugs, as it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.

We chose this hotel because it was among the cheapest in Paris, so our expectations were low, but the hotel was a positive suprise. The staff were amazing. They provided us with a fan when the temperatue outside was high. We didn’t even have to ask. Location was good too. It was only a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro station. The shared toilets and showers were clean.

Good value for money only problem was nobody letting you into the property had to wait 20 minutes after repeated bell ringing and door knocking. By overall okay fairly close to nearest metro and small bar restaurant outside.

It was nice to stay with all my friends in the same room for one night. I would not do it for longer than two days. The rooms are small but the price is not bad. You get what you pay for. The owner is super nice and friendly. There are nice restaurants, stores, and bakeries nearby.

A hotel that looks more like a house, has no relation to the pictures it publishes, my flight suffered a delay, I arrived at the hotel at night and they did not open the door, I had the reservation paid, Hotels.com and Hotel RACHEL, I do not know they took charge and they did not return the paid reservation, there is no one to make the claim
