    A "surprise" motel, somewhat rustic and historical. It has everything you need nestling in the hills of central Canterbury on the edge of the MacKenzie Country. A contemplative place with one of the oldest churches in Aotearoa over the road and open during the day....to wander around. I wanted to stay longer but had to travel on over the Pass. Megan the proprietor was very welcoming and informative.

    Unit 4 is a great size for a family. It has a full size lounge and kitchen with lots of space and recently renovated so near new. There's road noise so recommend bringing ear plugs to wear at night
