The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the hallways were presentable. The breakfast was highly processed foods that had cooled off, and the pancakes were rubbery and cold. I did NOT like the surprise of having to pay to park, Hotels.com should notify customers that parking is not free. Just stating that parking is available is not enough information without the fees mentioned.

I made reservations in sept 202t. All was good. I called on Wednesday to let the front desk staff, know i would not be there til fri afternoon. Just didnt want to worry. The lady i spoke to on Wednesday assured me that i had ore-paid and my room would be ready fri. Well, i get there, they canceled my reservation. No notice no nothing. Invluding no room. Charged me for 1 night, and still dont have refund. I had to go find another hotel, which was double what i could have stayed at HI for. Hoping to get all my $$ back. I always try to stay with hokiday in express. This may change my whole outlook. bjm

Decent room, but suffered in details. Fixtures in Bathroom were loose, shower shelf almost detached, failed in the details. Checkin was smooth, found a long 16”+ hair in the bed. Otherwise not terrible, but could use some tightening up.

The staff were not friendly or knowledgeable about the area. I booked a king room and got 2 queens. There was no pool or hot tub. Every light cover on our floor in the halls looked melted and the wall paper needed repaired. It was frustrating to realize, that it said on site parking when i booked but then I had to pay over $22 per day for parking.

The hotel was very good, my issue arose when dealing with the staff. Before I had arrived I had spoken with a worker over the phone about the tax exemption I had as I was bringing a group of students. Upon checking it the individual at the desk told me "the morning person has to do that." So I left a copy of my tax form with them. In the morning I am going to check out and I ask about it and I am told "the night person had to do that" I explained what I was told the evening before and then I am told that they will leave it to be dealt with. The problem never got fixed and I ended up having to pay my school back the tax out of my own pocket. Just very disappointing that they were not willing to help at all.

Good hotel, clean and tidy and the area around it is good It’s within walking distance of bars and restaurants The day we arrived, it took 30 mins to check in, as the queue was out the door. Which is unacceptable, no explanation or apologies given. This wasn’t due to a rush at 3pm people trying to check in Overall a good place to stay with a good breakfast

Typical small breakfast buffet. Parking garage is next to building with a 7 foot clearance, my 2024 Dodge 2400 full size fit with 5 inch to spare. Didn't use facilities. Staff was good in my interactions. Rooms clean, nice shower. Has 2 little vending machines and a cooler with ice cream and one with beer and some snacks in lobby you can buy. Obviously at a premium but good to have.

In the morning of day 2, I was seriously scraped by a sharp bracket holding the mattress in place. I reported it and was told it would be taken care of. The next day, nothing happened and I was told the manager was aware of it. We checked out on morning 5 and nothing had been done despite my daily complaints. Housekeeping put the trash buckets on counters, repeatedly - different counters. Towels were hard to exchange. When I got home, I tried 3 times to report it higher up. Nothing. I've been a rewards member for years and never saw anything this bad. The heat/AC was quiet and breakfast was good. Would not stay there again.

No, I would not choose to stay here again. We came from out of town, I was looking forward to relaxing in a bath, but, NO BATH!. ONLY A SHOWER! Very disappointing, especially when the advertising never said showers only. The lady at the front desk that evening was very rude & rushed. I watched her be rude with the 2 guests in front of me, Because she said she needed the bathroom. So, that let me know, they were short staffed!!.. She absolutely did not want to answer any questions, and I had never been there before!.. How they have there parking set up is an absolute circus!!. It took us 10min to find the front at the motel took us longer to find the parking garage. Because it's a one-way street!. When I booked the room I asked for a king size bed, we got two full size beds. I asked for our room to be on a high floor, we got a low floor. And check out time is WAY to early, especially for someone that doesn't get there until 8:00 or 9:00 in the evening Good night before! So no, I would not recommend this motel!

The location of this property was good for accessing the Louisville Slugger museum (which we enjoyed very much) and several other museums (Frazier, Ali, etc). Michters and Peerless distilleries are also in the area, but others are at the other end of the downtown. The variety of restaurants in this area is limited, most are located 1/2 mile away. The city blocks are big so keep in mind that a 5 or 6 block walk is a fair distance in bad weather. Overall, this hotel did not disappoint us and the price was right. The best part of this stay was the service and attention provided by the front desk manager.... he was awesome!
