The cabin behind us their bed backs up to the wall of our bedroom. All “things” done in that room is heard loudly in the other room. Normally not a problem. But this stay it was almost all night and multiple times. Hard to sleep through all that banging and loudly screaming for God.

This property is really adorable and tranquil. Which makes the fact that our "private" cottage was actually a duplex that much more frustrating. If it had been marketed that way, rather than framing the pics and description to suggest it was a single detached cottage, I would have booked something else. Sadly, two of the "cottages" on the property are actually a single cottage with drywall down the middle. So literally every time the people next door walk on the floor / go to the bathroom / shift in bed, you can hear it. Not so tranquil.

We had a great stay at the Hillside Colorado Cottages. The area, property and cottages are beautiful to explore the countryside. Surrounded by the mountains, the views were amazing. The Property Manager lives on side and is there for any needs 24/7. We will definitely return one day!

The duplex housing structure titled Nature's Knack was not the quiet and tucked away cabin as advertised. There was an annoying noise of a motor coming from the other side of the common wall that turned on and off every five minutes all night long. The noise was loud enough to keep us up all night. The surrounding area offers breathtaking natural beauty.

A beautiful, relaxing drive to a wonderful little cottage! After an extremely stressful family trip, I decided to stay here for a quiet night for myself. I drove here from southern New Mexico. It was a long but beautiful ride. Upon my final approach to the cottage, I saw livestock and wildlife. Majestic eagles scattered throughout the area. The cottages were well marked and easy to find. It’s so quiet. Upon entering the cottage, I was greeted with a lovely basket of treats. Attached was a sweet little note from the owners. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. The kitchenette is well stocked with cookware and microwave and cooktop. The furnishings are beyond charming. Beamed ceilings and wood floors with area rugs just add to the charm. I’m usually very uncomfortable staying somewhere new when traveling alone, not here! I settled right in. The warm quilts on the comfortable bed and the warming throw on the arm chair just add a little something. The morning sun creeping in the windows is just lovely as it rises over the hills. I look forward to coming back here with my special someone and sharing this experience with him!

Lovely cottages, amazing setting by the Sangre de Christo Mountains. It is super quiet and peaceful there, and there were a couple of horses in a pasture behind us. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The location was fantastic, the area was super clean with grilles to cook on outside and plenty of space to play with your dog or go for a walk. Very relaxing. Would definitely go back! But be sure to pack some food in, its about 12 miles to the nearest town, Westcliff, for food.
