    I stayed here after walking from Magome to Tsumago on the Nakasendo trail. Absolutely beautiful hotel. There is a large onsen, the lounge has snacks and drinks available and massage chairs. I had a buffet dinner and buffet breakfast which was delicious. The staff are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend. All I would say is if you are catching the bus to/ from the hotel be aware of the timetable.

    We stayed for one night. On arrival the hotel looks impressive. Unfortunately the rooms were disappointing. We had a traditional Japanese room so we were expecting a somewhat basic set up. However it was the modern elements in the room which were old and tired. The towels were wore out and the bathroom was tired and outdated with plastic stools and buckets. There was just about shampoos and conditioner but nothing else. We stayed in other hotels for a third of the price and the rooms had a much better offering. The food was good but definitely not worth the extortionate price tag. Breakfast is only from 7am to 8am no exceptions. You’ll get better value staying at a business hotel in further out.
