La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield IL

This was easily accessed from the Interstate. The price was reasonable through Agoda, more on other sites. The hotel was up to date, clean and a great stop on a long driving trip from Wisconsin to Texas.

Very nice place with friendly staff. I went there within a week again. They should improve their breakfast services

This is an honest review of the hotel. I am a travelling professional and need a room for the a two day stay. I arrived at the hotel and the front desk man said I need to wait for a room. So I went to the local Walmart to pickup snacks. When I arrived he gave me my room. I entered the room and noticed that the comforter was stained and the sheets were dirty. I ask for new sheets since I'm tired and just wanted to sleep. He said housekeeping was on break on my floor. I said OK. I go to the bathroom and almost tripped on the floor. I see the rug, under the rug was loose tile. I called again and ask for him to come see the room. He looks at the tile and says all the rooms have this rug to prevent injury from the tile. I asked why is the tile loose this is not right and tell them I need a new room. He is very hesitant about given me a new room and looked confused. About an hour later a woman calls me down stairs with a new key. I thank her then head to the room to sleep. This room the ac is messed up and I can not control it by the thermostat. I say forget it and just go to bed. The next morning I'm off work and on my way to their breakfast. The waffle had something dark brown and watery drop in the cup. I asked the same young man to look at it he says it ok no problem, I can eat it. I get toast and go back to my room. The next day I come back into the hotel from work and check out. A different Indian man checks me out ask if I need a receipt. I say yes he takes a moment to give it to me I ask is everything OK he says you can get it from the site you book from, and that he can only give me a zero out paper. I say OK and hand out my hand he walks up to me and lays it on the dish on the counter. I say really you can give it to me in my hand that so wrong and stupid. He says your stupid you dumb bitch. I'm in shock nothing causes that reaction. I had never met him. I get the receipt and walk out. I will honestly say I think there is a racial undertone for women at this hotel. My question is when I asked for a new room I was told that other guest were coming and they were sold out due to the fair. I suggested given the other guest my room and see if they would want to stay. Third why was I called a bitch for wanting the paper in my hand. This is a horrible hotel and a horrible experience. I am in hotels twice a week and never had this happen. They need new management. This is said and hurtful.
