We booked a Standard Room for 5 nights and a Thai House for 1 night as proposed by Agoda, being the only options at time of booking. The Standard Room is in a bungalow which has two separate rooms with a locked connecting door inside. The first night a young Russian couple in the other room were quite noisy. The following morning I asked if it was possible to change room, at the cost of paying for an upgrade. The lady at the reception told me there were no vacancies all week, which I doubted. She didn't seem she could cope with any changes and no willingness to find a solution. On that same morning I found vacancies on a booking site, and then again the following day on another site. A little disorganised, which is my sensation for everything in general. The positive aspect for us is that the beach here is quieter than the more northern part. Food was fair the first night, but the following night we had grilled beef, which was uneatable, and grilled squid which was only a little better. We'll have to wait until our last day to see if the Thai House can live up to expectations. The beach and the sea are the most positive things, especially at this end as it is quieter and more relaxed. It's a pity that moving around the island seems to be complicated as it seems there are better restaurants elsewhere. We have 4 more nights here so I can't give a final review.
