Old-fashioned, Rt66-type motel (and I mean that in the best way possible) just on the outskirts of Gunnison.
Clean, warm (I was there in the chill of Feb); nice beds, pillows & linens. Rustic pine/log furnishings.
A reminder that there is a separate thermostat for the bathroom - not surprisingly, it didn’t warm up in there until I noticed it & cranked up the heat.
Only negatives: there was really no place to put clothes away. A common issue with much modern lodging, a small armoire, dresser, or even those adhesive clothes hooks would go a long way. Also, the mini fridge was set so low that it froze most everything put inside (no real harm except for the head of lettuce).
