Hotel Royalmar

The accommodations we received were not as advertised on the website: The pictures displayed online are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property nor the room provided. Several amenities were broken, there was mold, water damage, debris, and the overall state of the room was far below the standard represented online. I have attached photos documenting the condition of the room to illustrate the discrepancies.

Brilliant location, we maintained and tastefully designed. We were in the fsmily suite, which was modren with a big sea facing balcony, just as we expected. Promanade and lots of dining options with 5 min walk. Staff was superb!

FIRSTLY All the staff were amazing, friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds were very comfortable & i recommend booking sea view, balcony rooms - waking up to sea views & able to be out on balcony morning & night, adds to the experience of Cote De Azur visit;) Food in a&E restaurant was actually amazing with great service & views - highly recommend (it’s not just another “hotel” restaurant). Location wise is perfect - right between Nice & Antibes. Avoiding both very busy beaches & town. Lovely & beautiful beach clubs in walking distance. I would definitely return if i have to come back to Nice. Only con is that the bathroom sometimes (due to drainage system & AC, i guess) had very strong damp smell - but leaving balcony door open during day helped👌

Very nice hotel with the beach fight outside. Friendly staff and very clean rooms.

Overall, the hotel was good, but there were some minor issues in the room, such as a broken coat hook. There was always concern about the availability of parking spaces, despite the fact that we had paid for them.

Wi-Fi always needs to be reconnected. The thermostat in my room didn't work. However, great parking and location though.

Great hotel on the water. Close to public beaches and St Pierre shopping area. Nice, standard French breakfast. Parking for 19 euros per night. I would stay here again.

Nice staff, rooms are a bit dirty, too much furniture in the room. But good location.

Never again. No Hot water!!!!! Stayed 5 nights, what a mistake, unclean shower area, noisy street noises included with a sea view, and no hot water for the whole time!!! No effort to compensate. Staff indifferent to this issue. Lots of better options. Breakfast ok, never bothered to have dinner here.

Oh dear.. where to start? On arrival (the whole hotel smelled of fish guts probably from the restaurant next door), we were first of all told that “none of our 3 people rooms have a sea view”. So instead of what we booked we looked into other peoples kitchens, bedrooms and other rooms in an apartment block. The sea was literally just across the road but no such luck. The woman in reception told us that we needed to give a €100 deposit. Wich made us feel very uncomfortable, as this has never happened before. Turns out she took €300 and they have still, five days later not been returned. We also paid for the room in advance. After this transaction she tells us “ the hotel has no hot water, today or tomorrow”. We were very surprised as this apparently had been an issue for some time and the hotel could have told us beforehand so we could have cancelled. We were told we could have a partial refund on check out. In the room the fridge was unplugged and electricity did not work properly. No hand soap. But still fish smell everywhere. Next morning, early check out. There is a younger man. He phones colleague and “boss” about our partial refund, wich is denied. He then says he must “go and check our room, so nothing is stolen”!!!! He comes back and confirm that indeed nothing is missing. Never ever have we been made to feel so uncomfortable in an hotel. This behaviour was in front of other guests who seemed equally uncomfortable. This is the worst hotel in France! Hands down!

It was fine- clean and freshly decorated. Quite affordable for a hotel directly across the street from the sea, although there is some traffic noise of course. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely a good option for the area.

Big frustration for this fake “4 Stars” hotel. No hot water for a decent shower, limited WiFi, very small room, no shower gel, no paper tissue, only one pretty small elevator. Location was ok. Be careful before to book this place.

It’s in a great location right opposite the beach. There are many great dining spaces. The transport is good and the hotel staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Overall had a great stay and will be returning again.

What ever you do don’t stay here. Worse hotel i’ve ever stayed at. Very rude, hotel sucks.

One night stay en-route to our destination. Very nice location next to the beach. Good breakfast.

The apartment we stayed in looked like it had been recently renovated. The AC worked well. We only stayed one night. The beds were comfortable. The reception staff was great. Very close to the airport but better than staying right at the airport. Areas for improvement included: No soap or shampoo in the room. All dispensers were empty. No hot water in the shower. So cold shower without soap:( Shower bottom area was gross. No elevator in the building we stayed in. Breakfast was sad. Not worth the money. This could be a good hotel if they put more effort into the breakfast and housekeeping service.

Nice place, close to the water. We were stuck on a layover and chose this place. It was so nice that we wish we would have spent the week there.

The overall location is great, right in front of the ocean with good restaurants around. But the hotel itself was very dirty. The shower had hairs from previous guests, there was no toilet paper, no soap for the sink, and there were smears all over the steel parts in the bathroom. The room was covered in dust and the carpet seems to not be cleaned. When we arrived we noticed the shutters did not close and people could see inside the bathroom. When we told the staff, a lady said “I don’t see the problem” did not try to fix the situation. Bugs flying everywhere in the room and in the restaurant.

Had an enjoyable stay here and really loved the central location to everything and close proximity to the beach.

This property is nice and we enjoyed a lot. Our flight on the day of return was at 9:35 pm and they allowed us to keep our luggage so kind of the staff

Amazing views!

Absolutely not up to standard, would rate it maximum 2 stars. We were given a room with the paint falling off the walls, flor full of dust and mold in the shower. Even with a changed room with an upgrade (good, serviceminded front deal Wiman), it was a huge dissappointment. Broken lampa, filthy windows and mold here as well. Staff was friendly even though there were a few incidents…

Stay was good, room clean and beach is right across the street. Property seemed old and needing maintenance. The building I stayed at didn’t have elevators and staircase was narrow for luggage.

I want to start with the room, it is very small in general. I don't even understand why for families. The renovation and furniture in the room are old, so old that the lock in the toilet can trap you inside. As for breakfast for 70 euros, a very small selection of products, and it was not very tasty. I do not recommend this hotel, especially for families with small children.
