    Our room met our needs. The decor is a bit dated but beds were comfortable which is what matters. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Air con in room, clean bed linen and towels. Only negative in bathroom was the fact we had to sit in bath to shower as there was only a hand held shower. We availed ourselves of laundry service and the clothes came back beautifully washed and folded. The restaurant next door was the highlight as it’s located next to the river, under a gorgeous tree canopy that keeps the dining area cool during the day. The food on the menu is authentic, local fare. Wonderful, friendly waiting staff. For the price, I would recommend it.

    Hotel nice. Staff accommodating & helpful. Rooms on the small side but ok for a short stopover. Location next to the river is nice.

    On a stay for a day or two, Sever Rio Hotel offers good value for money. Breakfast has variety and is good. The views towards the river and the Marvão castle are engaging. On the down side, although the room was clean, it shows signs of wear, also the layout could be improved to make a longer stay more inviting, as there's no sufficient place for a couple to hang clothes, a dressing table or a small fridge. Never the less, for us its purpose was served and we wouldn't mind staying again for a night.
