This is a great place, right in the downtown, very walkable from all the major streets. The rooms are great too. What makes this hotel really really great is the staff, though.
Our special thanks to Deki Yangden and Tashi Lhaden at the front desk for making us feel so welcome, to our housekeeper Sonam for the amazing gesture of arranging a foot soak for us, for the entire restaurant staff for the great service, especially Dampai Wangchuk, Deki, Chefs Sukraj and Sangay Bidha (her Thukpa is the best!) - last but not least to Chef Anurag - the food in the restaurant here is one of the best we’ve eaten.
We will definitely stay in Le Meridien when we visit Thimphu next.

Services are not at par with the price. WiFi connection was always unstable and particularly the food was not to the standard of a 5 star hotel.
