    My stay at Grand City Hotel CDO was a curious mix of relief and regret. The moment I entered the room, a strange, old, musty odor greeted me - an unwelcome scent that clung to the air. Thankfully, it faded once the AC roared to life, and with a few sprays of my cologne, the atmosphere transformed into something more bearable. The AC itself was commendable, a steady comfort throughout my stay. Yet disappointment lingered. My request for a room with windows was denied & no coffee kettle for hot water, leaving me confined in a space that felt closed and heavy. Bottled water was scarce, with no dispenser available, though I was grateful when the restaurant staff kindly refilled my empty bottle as I checked out. Connectivity, however, was a disaster. The promised internet signal was nowhere to be found, and even my mobile data failed miserably inside the room. The TV, though powered on, was useless - no remote, no function, just a black standy screen mocking my attempts. The tiles flaked shamefully, and worse still, I noticed dried, suspicious stains on the floor—an unsettling, creepy detail that cast a shadow over the room’s upkeep. And yet, amidst these flaws, the hotel redeemed itself with gestures of flexibility: they allowed me to check in early and graciously extended my checkout past 1 PM. For that, I left with mixed feelings - an experience marked by both disappointment and gratitude, a stay that was far from perfect but not without its redeeming graces. I am not so sure if i'm going back there.
