    Booked 4 nights and I had a great and comfortable stay. The hotel is a few min walk to Cianjin sta, there are also bus stops nearby. I have to say I love my room, it was spacious, clean and modern. Appreciate the daily house keeping. The bed was very comfortable I had a good night rest after walking the whole day. The staff are nice as well. The only (minor) downside is that the breakfast menu may not cater for foreign guests (dont expect much if youre not really into Taiwanese breakfast). Also, the gym also just a small room with cycling machine - thats it. Otherwise, I would still recommend it if you need a comfortable stay in Kaohsiung.

    ​If you’ve always wanted to experience the claustrophobia of a budget cruise ship’s interior cabin without the pesky risk of actually going to sea, FX Hotel Zhonghua Road has answered your prayers! ​The "View": The absolute "pièce de résistance" is the window. Or rather, the nautical porthole. Opening the bright orange curtains reveals a breathtaking, high-definition view of a dirty concrete wall about two inches away. It is an architectural marvel that successfully protects you from the terrible dangers of natural sunlight, fresh air, and knowing what time of day it is. ​The "Exquisite" Prison Spa: To their credit, the bathroom looks incredibly sleek—frosty glass, modern tiles, very chic. But it's a trap! The moment I tried to switch on the shower, the metal diverter knob instantly committed suicide, snapping off into my hand. Thus, I got to enjoy the hotel's complimentary "19th-Century Prisoner" spa package: squatting sadly on the floor of a designer shower, washing myself under the bottom tap. ​The Surround Sound: Who needs a TV when the ceiling is made of acoustic-amplifying tissue paper? The soundproofing is so transparent that I now know the exact walking patterns, luggage weight, and emotional state of the guest in the room above me. ​Final Rating: 10/10 for maritime historical accuracy. 0/10 if you want to actually relax, bathe standing up, or see the sun. Bring a periscope!

    For the record , this is my 3rd stayed at FX hotel. The previous 2 times was at Taichung and Tainan and had good experiences than. However this time I was really disappointed with the male customer service staff at the counter upon checking in. His facial expression and mannerism give you the vibes that he is very unhappy. He tapped his pen a few times very hard and loud on the registration form to sign. That was really rude. But to be fair the female reception was very friendly. We had 4 rooms and all of us felt really shock of such rude reception
