    The location was perfect for easy access to transportation. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wifi signal was strong. Elevator is available. Was able to leave Luggage after checking out.

    Our experience at Hotel Esmeralda was quite disappointing. We stayed as a group of three, and the room was extremely small—there was barely enough space to move around, and we couldn’t even properly open our luggage. The bathroom was also very cramped, making it uncomfortable to use. We also kept the air conditioning on while we were out because the room had an unpleasant smell. However, despite placing the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door every day, we would return each night to find the AC turned off—clearly indicating that someone had entered the room. While nothing was missing, it was very unsettling to know that staff entered despite our request for privacy. Overall, the lack of space, the odor issue, and the disregard for the “Do Not Disturb” sign made our stay uncomfortable and not something we would recommend.

    Pros: The place is conveniently located in the heart of the city center. Cons: It can be quite noisy at night. You may hear guests checking in, as well as doors opening and banging. If you’re sensitive to noise, this hostel may not be the best choice.
