Warm and friendly staff. The room was well designed and laid out. The air conditioning worked well. Quiet and efficient no need for any adjustments. A good space to work if needed. Both the room and the whole B&B hotel was very clean, well maintained. It was conveniently situated close to the Autoroute and easily accessible with ample parking. The shower worked well and the room was not ‘cluttered’ with ‘stuff’ (like a trouser press) that for many; me included; do not want or need. Just a hair dryer, that’s enough. One small point, perhaps the design of the sink needs attention? I could not get the plug to work properly so that made shaving a little problem because I had to keep the tap running. A small point easily outweighed by this impressive, simple and modern facility. Good job B&B well done.

Overnight stay on our way back to the north of France. Almost perfect stay as the room was very clean, with a great bed which was as comfortable as can be. Very good shower that was as good as it looked. Very good Wi Fi which never crashed. A good nights sleep which was much appreciated. In fact the only thing that let the hotel down was the scrambled egg. Almost raw and very runny. Even after the girl took it away to cook it a bit more, still undercooked. That’s the only fault we could find. So when back there in Clement Ferrand, we will use again. Overall a good place to stay.

On our holiday in France this summer we stayed in the B&B Hotel Clermont Ferrand on both our inward journey and our homeward journey. We bookes a room for our homeward journey because we found that the hotel was really excellent value on our inward journey. Both times we found that staff were most helpful and pleasant. The hotel was spotless and the room was excellent. The beds were comfortable with really good pillows. The bathroom was good with plenty of room for all our needs. A good shower along with the rest of the facilities, made for a really pleasant nights (two) Stay. The B&B hotels will be used by us again.

Paid a repeat visit to the B&B on Sunday 9th June. Once again we have nothing but the highest regard for this hotel. The room was as good as other higher starred hotels.The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The bed was luxurious. In the morning the breakfast was better value that a lot of more expensive hotels. We will use the B&B chain again.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very pleasant and obliging. The area is commercial, but having restaurants so close was a bonus. The shower was very small and the rooms were small but comfortable.The hotel was perfect for a stop off on our journey and the Puy de Domes area is lovely.

The hotel is neat and clean and perfect for the one night stop over we needed. The rooms are compact but clean and provide all necessities. The air conditioner is quiet, one of the few we can say that about, breakfast is good for the price you pay.

This is a basic motel that is fine to spend a night or two. There's plenty of off-road parking which seemed safe enough and lots of franchise-type budget food restaurants all around the area. Rooms are basic but what do you expect for this price? The one we had was clean, quiet and had everything you'd expect. Breakfast wasn't great value but was adequate. Staff were welcoming and helpful (and spoke English!). We found it was better to take the bus to Clermont-Ferrand (bus stops are a 5 minutes walk away) than navigate the busy roads and look for parking. On the right side of the city to get to the volcanoes.

Considering there is a plethora of choice in the Aubiere area of Clermont Ferrand, and pretty much every budget hotel brand is represented, i chose the Arena hotel for an overnight stay as most of the others have pretty indifferent reviews. From the outside, the Arena doesn't have a great deal to differentiate it from the competition, but the price is around the standard for budget hotels in the area. There is plenty of parking, and assorted eateries nearby (we chose Tabla Pizza) or a vending machine with snacks in the foyer. We were on the top floor, and there is a lift (which isn't always the case in budget chains). The rooms are quite small but nicely thought out, better than the standard budget hotel in my opinion. The bed was comfortable, the Aircon chillingly lovely for a 35c summer day and a wide range of Francophone TV was available to entertain. Breakfast is served in a convivial little alcove adjacent to the reception and a wide range of sweet and savoury items are available for around €6. With my French being a little ropey, i misunderstood the setup for booking breakfast when we were checking in and booked it later on. The chap on duty was very accommodating and helpful. If you come to this hotel expecting the Ritz, you'll be disappointed. If you expect an average budget chain hotel, you should be pleasantly surprised.

OK, it's in a bland business district outside the city, but the hotel is very clean and the manager has a wonderful sense of hospitality. He is really quite charming and helpful.
