We were extremely disappointed with Sofitel Dubai The Palm. This did not feel luxurious and everything felt dated, worn, and overpriced for what you get. Our 2-bedroom ground-floor room was old-looking and unattractive, with cheap furniture/curtains, lots of wear and tear, and only one working charging point in the master bedroom. Wi-Fi was poor. The bath looked nice but there wasn’t enough hot water to actually fill it. Check-in was unhelpful and we weren’t given clear information, especially about half board. The half-board system was confusing and restrictive — no drinks were included, not even water, and everything felt like an upsell. Food was average at best. Breakfast was chaotic and crowded, and the coffee was awful. We ordered iced Americanos and received something that tasted like dishwater (and didn’t even include ice). We were also directed to a “less crowded” breakfast that had far less variety despite being marketed as the same. The main pool setup was disappointing and it felt like you needed to pay extra for a cabana to properly enjoy the area. The “adult quiet” zone was basically concrete and loungers. Our final-night dinner at the Asian restaurant was ruined by terrible acoustics and screaming children at every table. Housekeeping was also late (often around 3:30pm), so we missed servicing when we returned from the pool. Overall: tired property, confusing policies, poor food/coffee, and service lacking polish. Not a 5-star experience.

Amenities were very good within the resort. Most restaurants are good but we found Maanava great for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to see the options and variety of cuisines on offer. We stayed in a one bed apartment that was big enough for our family of 4 with 2 kids. A practical consideration would be to raise the separation between shower area and rest of the bathroom. Everyday a huge amount of water would just come out of shower after each shower. Second consideration should also be to put more towel rails (perhaps heated) in the area so that people could spread their wet towels that can be reused easily. Kitchen area lacked any cutleries but their were items available for cooking. On day 3 of our stay there was a terrible smell throughout the bedroom of the apartment which was later pointed by another lady residing in the same wing. We did report this but they just apologised.

We've been before and love it here. The only disappointment was the Palm View room we'd paid for was not provided. We were atuck facing the side of a building which was not at all ideal. But the staff are great, everything else all good

Sofitel The Palm Dubai offers a peaceful, relaxing environment, perfect for a getaway. We were initially assigned a room with a limited view of the palm, but after speaking with Reception, they moved us to one with a much better view, which was greatly appreciated. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views, a private beach, and excellent pools. However, the half-board package felt restrictive, as drinks were not included and had to be purchased separately. For a 5-star hotel, complimentary water with meals would be a nice touch. Overall, the service was excellent.

The hotel has improved greatly since our previous stay back in 2018. The Lounge for guests who stay in Suites has been relocated to the ground floor and has a huge terrace outside with lots of comfortable seating, and inside attentive staff providing excellent food and drink options throughout the day. The beach was excellent - especially at this time of year where the heat is far more comfortable and the sea temperature was still lovely. We spent most days on the beach as it was so relaxing. All food options in the hotel were used and we enjoyed taking advantage of the Half Board Dine Around that we booked to try them all - Zoya by Maui, by the beachside serving lovely Indian food was our favourite

Excellent stay. We a family of four stayed in the 2 bedroom family room. Great layout, balcony and wonderful view of the palm. Room super clean. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Wonderful beach and pool and well-themed resort. We were on half-board, food was really good, soft drinks quite expensive. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel and room was amazing. The housekeeping staff were so lovely and polite. The staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We were very happy with Arshad and Himanshu as they went above and beyond with our toddler and service. We will really miss them. Our only downside to the hotel was during lunch and dinner we would need to pay for drinks. We assumed that as we paid for half board drinks would be included with the meals as part of our package. But drinks and water are an additional charge. We paid £13 for 2 cans of fizz and £9 for a cup of coffee, which is absurd. We paid a lot to stay at this hotel, but theres always more hidden expenses that have to be paid. Other than that issue everything else was great. The variety of swimming pools, kids club, the beach.
