Guesthouse Arsenis was amazing! I visited during the "off season", but the weather was still beautiful. The location could not have been better. It was a two minute drive into town and amazingly close to the monasteries. The view from my room and the dining area was gorgeous. Checking in was super simple and I had a chance to talk to the owner and his mother (who were both very, very kind!). The house and land have been in their family for generations and they have clearly taken very good care of it! The whole experience was very peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer and would love to go back!

The rooms were clean and functional, but the beds were too hard for us. The breakfast was also very nice. The hotel has its own large car park so it is very easy to find a space, and the surrounding area is gorgeous including the olive groves proudly run by the hotel. The owner really tries to provide a welcoming environment but can be over-friendly and could make you feel uncomfortable, especially as a female traveller, though we (mother and adult daughter) felt he was harmless and just trying to ensure a good stay/review. He gave us free bottles of water and Meteora fridge magnets each.

Great location, excellent overall. Would highly recommend it!!!

So ol school. Inconvenient paymemt sysyem. Food is terrible. The ownser wants you to spend money from tge moment u arrive. Wanted to make a phone call (collext) to which he said *Money too expensie!

This place is like a weird Twilight Zone-- beautiful setting but strange atmosphere...pass it by and stay in the fun downtown.

Walking up the hill to the Holy Trinity, you can hear tin bells jingling on cows and goats and sheep. It's an enchanting experience. The Arsenis family creates a wonderful experience, complete with some of the best food I had in Greece ... everything is local and tastes fresh and flavorful.

Beautiful, family run guest house with great views from your balcony. Comfort and hospitality were stellar and affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice family owned guest house. cozy and warm feeling. If you stay, order lunch that owners mother made. It was so delicious, best Greek food I had in my trip.

The host was extremely helpful on check in as well as forgiving us directions to get around the Meteora area. They even had free maps and inexpensive guidebooks on hand to help us out. Everything flowed very smoothly and the host spoke pretty good English too.

This place was great especially for the price. The dinner was amazing and the olive oil was delicious. Its from their own trees and you can buy some. I highly recommend taking a bottle home. The check in was quick and the guy At the front, this is his familys place was great. He gave us great pointers.

The stuff was super friendly and the location is great, far away from crowd and close to Monasteries.

The hotel is near the road from the village of Kalambaka in the mountains. If you have a car, a wonderful hotel. To close the monasteries. Beautiful views all around.

Breakfast is nice, you can have a nice dinner prepared under mother's supervision :) Location is stand-alone into the nature, 2km to Kalampaka and less than 1km to Meteora monasteries. The family and the hotel are so lovely, I will be back soon! I was only going to stay in Kalambaka for one night but extended my trip to one week. I really enjoyed how the hotel is in the hills instead of the Kalambaka because it is so peaceful and the views are amazing. Each room has a balcony with beautiful views of Meteora or the Pindos Mountains. My room has two beds (one double and one twin) which was nice but I was traveling alone so I didn't use the other one. Sheets and towels were changed every day and the floors were mopped so the room was always clean. I felt like a member of the family here. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day and really enjoyed it. The meals are the same, however!!! Breakfast is ham/cheese, coffee, crackers, bread, jams, juice and coffee and dinner is greek salad, souvlaki, sausage, french fries, bread, and cinnamon apple for desert. I did not mind having the same food every morning and night because it was homemade and really delicious. If you are staying longer, you can ask the family for other dinner meals such as chicken or omelet. All the reviews are correct about the family. The owner's son can be pushy and opinionated at times, but his parents are true gems. They are a lovely family and I really did not mind the the owner's son because everything else about the place was so comfortable and nice. He is a genuinely kind person who just has a strong personality which is forgivable. I will bring my whole family here soon!
