Very nice hotel for a short break

Super friendly staff, the locations is great in regards to the beach falling on the back step of the hotel. Lots of food spots in the hotel and some decent entertainment.

The hotel has many facilities and may tick a lot of the boxes in this regard. However, the quality is rather poor. Rooms have not been refurbished and have torn furniture / broken fixtures and worst of all mould in the bathroom. The beds are uncomfortable and worse still the pillows are awful and despite asking twice they did not provide different pillows. They have a app but actually this does not work very well to make requests as they do not answer it or put in a response saying the request was completed even when it wasnt. Problems however start before you even arrive as the response to any emails to the reception is either non-existent or if your lucky a week later. The checkin process is also poor - I arrived early but despite that I was told 'there are more then 400 rooms to clean sir' so I could not checkin on time even though they knew I was waiting with 2 young children. Prioritisation is not something they can get their head around by the sounds of it. I could keep going on but I for one will not be returning to this so called 5 star hotel. One good thing is that their buffet services are very big and run like clockwork - but they run even better if you tip the waiters which means if you don't you are less of a priority so take some cash with you - which is a little sad. However, despite the huge selection the food is generally quite bland.
