    Not the best IHCL property, rooms look aged, maintenance not upto mark, service is hit or miss. Definitely not a 5 star stay.

    enjoys a brilliant location and sits within a charming property. What stood out most, however, was the team — from the foyer to the front office. Mr. Ayanal and both the ladies at the desk were exceptionally warm, helpful, and proactive. Housekeeping, F&B, and the breakfast staff were equally wonderful, delivering service with genuine enthusiasm. That said, the management — especially given this is an IHCL brand — needs to address certain aspects of the property. The room infrastructure, bed and bath linen quality, and a few facility‑level elements require strengthening. The staff are doing a fantastic job, but they need better support through upgraded infrastructure to match the standards guests expect from IHCL. Overall, the location is great and the team made the stay memorable, but the facilities should be improved to truly complement the excellence of the staff.

    I was honestly quite disappointed with my stay at La Estoria. For a hotel associated with the Taj brand, I expected a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and overall experience. The room was quite dated and, unfortunately, not maintained to the standard I would expect from a 5-star property. Basic toiletries were not provided in the room, and we had to repeatedly call the reception to get them. Even more surprising, there was no hair dryer available in the room, which is quite unexpected for a hotel of this category. The cleanliness was another concern. The fans in the room had a significant amount of dust, which was clearly visible and gave the impression that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The washroom door was also broken, adding to the overall lack of maintenance. The food selection was quite limited as well, and overall, the experience felt much below what I associate with the Taj name. I genuinely did not expect this from a hotel carrying the Taj brand. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of housekeeping, maintenance, amenities, food options, and overall service quality.
