We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza. Our executive room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located just steps away from the metro station, making it very easy to explore Chengdu. Special appreciation goes to the housekeeper who attended to our room (2810) throughout our stay. She did an excellent job in keeping our room exceptionally clean and comfortable every day. Her dedication and attention to detail deserve recognition, and I sincerely hope the hotel management will acknowledge her outstanding service with an appropriate incentive or reward. We would also like to compliment the reception staff for their politeness, friendliness and helpful service, which made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable stay. The excellent service from the staff truly made a difference. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Chengdu. Highly recommended!

This was a nice hotel however could be better. Location great. Room great (we had a suite) my elderl son had his own space and wc. Immaculately clean. Where the hotel fell down. ? Staff spoke very little English. I understand that tourism is really just opening up but we felt an American hotel chain advertising English speaking staff was a bit of a con. They were all lovely and tried to help but just gave up really. We had lounge access. It was not good. We eventually figured out the lounge was part of the restaurant on the ground floor. Staff didn’t understand us when we tried to figure out where it was as the lift stated 29th floor ? Food was cold. We saw another guest complain about this too but nothing done about it by the staff. Poor choices and only one wine on offer. Chardonnay which personally I can’t abide. Not up to standard. Laundry in the basement for free useage which was great. A bit of tweaking by management and could be really great.
    10 / 10Outstanding·Jun 2026
Stayed 7 nights with wife and two kids in two rooms. Located right outside the Dongmen Bridge Subway Station and just 10 minute walk away from Taokoo Li and other shopping, with a convenience store just next door and free laundry, the level of convenience is hard to beat. The pool and gym were also clean and comfortable to use. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly from the reception to the housekeeping. Breakfast was slightly repetitive so I would recommend only getting this for no more than 3 mornings. Taste and quality was great, especially for those looking for more traditional Chengdu breakfast options. The prices were also excellent, so overall value is extremely high and we are definitely coming back.
