La Boheme Hotel e Apart Hotel

The hotel is overall good, the grounds are well kept and is being updated, now, the room is way to simple, not even a place to leave your bags, feels too basic for the price as there are cheaper hotels with what I feel are better room amenities. They could also had some black out courtins as the light comes thru the window, that leads me to also adding some extra layers of privacy to the rooms as they face the main walking path to acces other places of the hotel. Best part is you can hear the ocean from room! Now, the hotel restaurant is really good, eating in there is not expensive and the portions and food is really tasty! Staff 10/10, all of them friendly and willing to assist you. Breakfast simple but good, I would add some variety. Cleanliness wise, the hotel is clean and well kept, although our room had some humidity smell that transferred to the bed sheets and towels but was promptly changed once we let them know. Good quality linen. Location is great, 10 minute walk to Rua das Pedras and the rest of the village, right up João Fernandez Beach. Overall good, but I feel like for the money spent you can get better location, I would go back to see the changes that they are making.
