Central location, clean room, friendly staff. Only issue was that AC only switched on in summer so room was pretty warm.

I booked this hotel under my friend's name because she was checking in the night before and I was arriving early morning. The staff insisted on calling the hotel room and waking my friend up at 7am even though I booked the hotel room and had the booking confirmation in hand. The room itself was fine. It was small but had a good layout. The wifi was decent. There was a fridge in the room. The bathroom was clean and they provided us extra towels when we asked. Even though my friend had just checked in about 8 hours earlier, the conditioner was empty. I called to ask for them to refill the conditioner and instead they brought another bottle of shampoo, so I just used my travel bottle of conditioner, which I generally reserve for hotels which don't provide any. When I arrived around 7am, I dealt with one guy who was very nice and spoke good English. He told me where to go for an ATM, unfortunately that ATM wasn't working. So he told me he could instruct me on a bank branch to go to with an ATM. I said I would go later and went back to the hotel room to rest. Around 11am when my friend and I left the hotel, I still needed to get some cash. The nice staff member was no longer there and two others had replaced him, one of whom was a trainee. However the main staff member on duty was rude and a little nasty to me. I asked him where this bank with the ATM was and he told me banks were closed on Saturdays and I can just go to the ATM in the attached mall. I explained that I tried it when I arrived and it was broken and I said the early morning staff told me there was a bank nearby that he would direct me to. But this nasty staff member kept insisting that all banks were closed. I wasn't going to take no for an answer because I was sure the other staff member knew what he was talking about. Eventually I got directions to the nearby bank with a working ATM, but not without a whole lot of attitude from this staff member. All other staff were lovely, but he was rude. Different evening staff were able to call and make us a reservation at a nearby restaurant. So really it was just this one guy who was rude. The hotel is walking distance to Gandan Monastery, so that was great. It's also not too far from Sukhbaatar Square. The view from the rooftop restaurant is quite nice. We didn't eat there but we went to go enjoy the evening views. They held my luggage for three days while we did a tour of Central Mongolia. I would say that overall the price we paid was too much for a Ramada. I think it's because we were still in the tail end of the tourist season and we didn't book anything until about two weeks out. A lot of hotels and guesthouses were already sold out. The price was probably 50% higher than I would have expected it to be, but there was nothing to be done about that. If I find myself in Ulaanbaatar again over the summer, I will book accommodation much farther in advance..

Overall, my stay was good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and pleasant. There are just a few things I think the hotel could improve to make the stay even better: 1. Lighting: The room lighting was not bright enough, especially around the mirror, which made it difficult to apply makeup. 2. Mirror & power point: There was no power point near the mirror, making it quite inconvenient to do hair styling. It would be much better to have a mirror located near a power point. 3. Shower height: The shower was positioned quite high and was difficult to reach. I wonder how shorter guests would manage to adjust or reach it comfortably. A more accessible or adjustable shower fitting would be more practical. 4. Front desk service: Most of the staff were fine, but one of the front desk staff could have been friendlier and more helpful. Communication was also slightly challenging with some staff as not everyone was fully comfortable speaking English. Overall, these are small areas for improvement, but addressing them would make the guest experience even better.
