The hotel is located few minutes from Reggio Calabria and Scilla. It has impeccable service and very clean. The views are to die for and the breakfast was excellent and with a great variety of food. We will definitely return here.

Hotel is in a wonderful location scenery wise but is not close to restaurants or shops. A car is essential.
The views across to Sicily are stunning, especially at night.
The hotel itself is massive with golf carts available due to distance to rooms/car park/restaurant/pool etc. so if you have mobility issues it may be a problem.
Breakfast was really good. Many hot and cold options served on the terrace. Fantastic.
We had the dinner package, which I recommend, as the prices are quite expensive - probably in line with 4* hotel prices in Italy. So for us the dinner package was worth it - especially as the food was so delicious. The choices were fantastic, the setting was marvellous and the food was wonderful. In addition, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. A wonderful experience.
The pool area and gardens are also spot on - such a beautiful, relaxing place to chill.
My only issue was with our room in the castle. The room was clearly for a family. Downstairs was a sofa bed and bathroom and up the spiral staircase was the bedroom. The stairs were steep and could be dangerous depending on mobility issues - especially if going to the toilet in the middle of the night. In addition there was only a small window looking onto a wall, which made the room feel very dark and cave like.
My tip would be don’t book if you don’t have a car and do not book a castle room as they are too dark and dull. Apart from that the hotel is very good and the staff are wonderful

Spa was closed, There was nothing to do, it was boring. The hotel did not offer any other activities or compensation for the closed indoor pool, which was not mentioned anywhere on the booking portal.
