La Terrace Oceanfront

We shows this hotel because it means a lot to our family. This was the last place. Our mother wanted us to see before she passed. She grew up and played at Hollywood Beach many years. Her last wishes was for us to stay at her favorite hotel with the best view so we one day would bring our kids then our kids would bring their kids. The memories that we shared here was absolutely amazing. As I booked my trip for us to let our kids see and make beautiful memories, and remember their Nana standing on the beach as the sun was rising my heart was so excited to be able to share with our kids a beautiful experience that they too would be able to share with their kids one day. I went to check in on March 13, 2025 and was immediately tears! The place I remember spending the best time with my mother reminiscing her childhood on this beautiful beach at this hotel with the most beautiful view of the sunrise was crushed when I seen the construction of the Terrence that overlooked the Broadwalk to the beach in the ocean. To sit there and have to look through Wood in orange plastic was horrible! Nobody said by the way we are under construction and the view is not how it was and that they have taken nearly half the Terrence and blocked it for construction. Instead, you get booked you check in then you find out it’s under construction yet again nobody mentioned this when we made reservations and the website did not reflect the construction that was going on. The very next morning on March 14, 2025 we are woken up by construction workers cutting rebar saws are loud and banging. Needless to say we could not sleep! When I brought this to attention with the hotel staff with me paying over $***for two nights, they only refunded me $200! I’m not saying we won’t ever be back because this place in this hotel holds a special place in our hearts because this was the last place we made memories with our mother before she passed. I just explained to them that they should have let us know and they the website because I did not want to share a beautiful memory. and have my kids first view that was supposed to be as beautiful as we described to be obstructed by wooden wall with orange plastic, blocking the view!
