We had a great stay at Hotel Central! The hotel is clean, well appointed, comfortable and welcoming. The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The basement ski room was a great feature. Loved the water pressure in the shower after a tiring day on the mountain. Great location near the center of the village - just a two-minute walk to the Bahnhof to catch the free shuttle bus to Titlis - very convenient. Also close and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The only thing that would have (slightly) improved our stay is if housekeeping stocked our room with more packets of coffee and creamer. We would definitely stay at Hotel Central again!

My business travel was made comfortable, uncomplicated and flexible thanks to the great staff at Hotel Central, Engelberg which turned a stressful business trip into an oasis at the end of my long day. The staff called me late in the evening when the had not heard from me to just check when I would be arriving. I was given a warm greeting when I arrived and an uncomplicated and simple check-in which got me quickly into my clean & welcoming room. Parking was conveniently at the side of the hotel and was wonderfully free! Unlike many hotels in Zurich & surrounds which makes for a nasty surprise upon arrival and nasty impact on your wallet! I highly recommend Hotel Central Engelberg for any business traveller - it was like a mini-holiday! and definitely worth the 35mins drive from Sachseln up into the mountains to Engelberg. Many thanks!

Wonderful staff and room conveniently located in downtown area. Room had a real double bed, large shower, balcony, & even a fridge. The staff were very welcoming and answered all my questions. The attached restaurant is also quite delicious with excellent service. Can’t wait to come back!

I stayed in a standard single room for 2 nights. The room is very small but the bathroom was decent sized. It was a comfortable stay but I give it 4 out of 5 for comfort only because of the room size. Other than that, it was very good. The room was very clean and modern. The hotel location was also very central - 3 min walk to Engelberg train station and bus stop. Breakfast was also decent. Omelette was made on demand and it was very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived very early on the check-in morning hoping to drop off the bags first but they kindly checked me in as the room was available already. Overall, it was a good stay. I would stay here again.

Very disappointed the actual room, not like picture showing in the website. I didn’t get the hot water in the night and the reason because lots people took shower ahead of me...also so noisy during middle of night. Very bad situation overall.

The hotel is located close to the train station, the center of Engelberg and the Titlis mountain. I liked the room, the bath, the bed, the space, the availability of multiple sockets and the price. I got a free mineral water and a little chocolate. The thing I did not like was that some neighbors were very noisy until 2 in the morning.

Perfect location 2 mins from train station and 10 min walk from Titlis cable cars. Id only booked a basic room but they upgraded me as they had better rooms available & otherwise empty (which happens less often than youd think).If its a clear day and youre thinking of going up Titlis, try to be on one of the first cars up (and dont get out when the doors open halfway) - I had the glacier tunnel and cliff walk and views to myself for a good half an hour before being crowded by hundreds of other tourists.

Close to the Engelberg train station. Convenient location to take the bus to the Mt. Titlis cable cars. Friendly front desk and very helpful. They accommodated our early check in request , having just flown from IAD and then a 2 hour train to Engelberg. Great views, seen from our balcony. Good breakfast.
