We had a short but perfect stay at Bacan Apartments in Cavtat. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We were warmly welcomed by Autun, who was an absolutely fantastic host – extremely friendly and service-minded. His hospitality really made our stay special. The location is great – close to everything, and Cavtat itself is definitely worth a visit. We truly hope to return one day, and when we do, we’ll be staying with Autun again for sure!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Bacan Serviced Apartments in Cavtat! The apartment was spotlessly clean with a modern design that made it feel like a true home away from home. Antun gave us such a warm and hospitable welcome – he was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, which made everything that much easier and more enjoyable. The location couldn’t be more convenient – right outside a bus stop, just a few minutes’ walk to a grocery store, and a lovely stroll down to the charming town centre. Everything we needed was within easy reach. Truly couldn’t have asked for anything more. We’re already looking forward to visiting again soon – highly recommend!

Our apartment was excellent - incredibly new, modern and well-stocked. It had everything we needed for our one-week stay, was a short drive from the airport and a short walk to the town center. On top of the excellent accommodations, Antun Bacan was very gracious and helpful. The only thing I would change is to have the floor of the shower have some sort of non-skid treatment. It is a bit hazardous as is. I trust this will be rectified prior to my next visit! Five stars!

Very clean, newly refurbished apartments just 5 mins walk into town. Antun the owner is very helpful and offers an airport shuttle service. The apartments are well equipped with everything you need. Shower great and air conditioning was a godsend. I would highly recommended.

This was an awesome place. Very well kept. Auntun the manager is wonderful and helpful. He was able to pick us up and drop off at the airport for a reasonable cost. The day tours organized in Dubrovnik, Bosnia or Montenegro tours will pick you up across the apartment and drop off after the tour if you let the tour guides know in advance. We plan on visiting again next year.

This is our default accomodation in Cavtat. Although basic, the apartments are clean and comfortable and the owner is friendly, helpful and communicative. The location is great, 7 mins walk from the town and 15 minutes walk from the solitude of the maquis belt. There is a Pemo supermarket just up the road. It is a 10 minute drive from the airport and the owner will collect you and take you back for a small charge. The bus to Dubrovnik stops right outside the property (literally). Highly recommended.

I love this apartment. I extended my stay for a total of six days. Manager gave me a lift to the dive store. Buses stop right at my door. Grocery next door and pizzaria across the street - good food, great service. Town down the hill.

Stayed here just for one night for an easy transfer to airport after staying on one of the islands. Apartment was large, clean and well equipped. The owner Antun, was very pleasant and helpful. He took us to the airport for our flight the next morning (100kuna) probably could get bus cheaper but this was so simple. For the price we paid for the apartment I was happy to give him a few more bob for the taxi ride. Cavtat itself is a lovely area with lots of restaurants along the promenade/harbour.

If visiting Dubrovnik, there are definite advantages in staying in Cavtat and going over by bus / boat. Very happy with my choice of accommodation - was picked up at the airport on arrival. For other journeys the Cavtat - Dubrovnik bus stop is opposite, if you don't want to walk up the hill. Pictures give good impression of apartments - furnishings etc. Plenty of places to eat in Cavtat at varying budgets.

We stayed here for a couple of nights after two nights in Dubrovnik. Cavtat is a great place to stay as are the Bacan Apartments. The bedroom and separate kitchen/sitting area is spacious and clean, with new furniture and loads of cooking equipment if you want to cook. There a shop two minutes walk away if you need any provisions. If you want to eat out there are loads of restaurants only five minutes walk away. Anton the owner is very friendly and picked us up from town when we first arrived by boat. We enjoyed our stay so much we even stayed there on our last night before we left from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Antun Bacan is the proprietor and he is a genuinely nice man. His apartments do him credit; they are SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The building is approximately 1km from the centre of Cavtat and on a hill but do not despair, dear reader. There is a short cut walk into town (as advised by Antun), avoiding buses and the like but if you have bad legs, as I do, all you have to do is wait outside the apartment for the number 10 bus! It only costs 10 Kuna, which is about £1.10 at the current rate of exchange. On the return trip, the bus station is at one end of the small harbour town of Cavtat and all you do is say 'hello, 1 person - 1 stop' and it's 10 Kuna again. Simples ! I went with my daughter and I wanted to show her there is more to life than Brits on the @&%$. Croatia is a gem; we ate superb food, enjoyed a super relaxed café culture environment and during the hours of daylight, experienced the Adriatic with Dubrovnik being the 'jewel in Croatia's crown'.

The staff was very courteous and flexible. I had originally booked the hotel one week later (due to an error) and they happily advanced the dates and even provided a discount (with the assistance of hotels .com). Upon arrival I found the suite to be clean and quiet with excellent internet. There were restaurants and convenience stores nearby and the hotel is located close to the scenic beach front downtown area. I would highly recommend the hotel to budget minded travellers as an alternative to dubrovnik.

The people couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Antun, the owner/manager picked me up from the airport himself (only 10 euros) and he had even checked arrival times and was there even though we arrived 1/2 hour early. When I checked out I wasn't flying until that night but was meeting friends at a local large hotel meantime. Antun dropped me and a friend plus luggage to the hotel free of charge!! Excellent service at very reasonable prices. Couldn't have been more pleased.

The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was what we expected, clean, and comfortable. On the downside, we would have preferred a balcony but that was the only minor moan about the Bacan. Terrific location, apart from the hills!

Main positives: -Close to airport - there in 10 minutes -Bus stop to Dubrovnik is right outside -5 minute walk to centre of Cavtat, 10 minutes to shingle beach at Zal -Staff are extremely polite and helpful -Room is well-maintained and clean, with good kitchen facilities Main negatives: -Close to airport - accommodation is right under airport approach path (but is the same for most other places in Cavtat), so can be slightly noisy -Walk from town centre is uphill (moderately steep) -Slightly small for more than 2 people; second bed is located in kitchen/dining room -Apartments are tightly clustered together; although patio furniture is provided, it is not possible (for example) to sit outside late in the evening with risk of disturbance to neighbours. Overall: Not a bad experience, and good if on a budget, but probably could do better if you have a bit more money to spend
