Our stay at the Anatole Hotel in Hanoi was truly exceptional…easily exceeding expectations and feeling closer to a 5- or even 6-star experience because of the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and well designed. The rooms were beautifully styled, and the lobby was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of seating that made check-in and waiting for tour guides relaxed and enjoyable. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care are unmatched. In particular, Phem from guest relations is an absolute gem and, in our opinion, one of the hotel’s greatest assets. Even before our arrival, she reached out to help with a Ha Long Bay cruise inquiry and surprised us with a VIP room upgrade on our overnight cruise, an incredibly generous and unexpected touch. During our stay, I experienced an unexpected medical issue late at night and needed to visit the emergency room. Phem had already completed her shift, yet when she saw us in the lobby and learned what was happening, she stayed to help. She personally contacted multiple hospitals, arranged for us to go to the best nearby option, and ensured they were expecting us so we could be treated immediately upon arrival. Remarkably, she even came to the hospital herself to check on us and assist with translation, staying until we were discharged around 1 a.m. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine concern were beyond anything we could have imagined and made an incredibly stressful situation feel manageable and comforting. In the days that followed, she continued checking in on us to make sure everything was okay. That level of care is rare and deeply meaningful. We were genuinely sad to leave the Anatole Hotel, but we left grateful…not only for an outstanding stay, but for a meaningful human connection. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Hanoi and recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional service, comfort, and heart. Highly, highly recommended.
