Checked in on a Sunday, so possibly non-regular staff, and they did not seem prepared / trained. Was asked for payment but had prepaid. Air Con was not turned on so room was 28C. No beer in minibar (though it is Belgium!). These are small things offset by central location, comfortable room and lovely breakfast.

Can’t fault it. Modern without being the least bit corporate; beautifully decorated, with being over the top. Helpful staff. Lovely, spacious, clean, beautifully appointed room with comfortable bed and quality linen. Plenty of plug sockets. Good wi-fi. Modern bathroom with amazing walk-in shower. Great breakfast- for all tastes and appetites - included in the price. The only drawback is the parking - an underground car park about a five minute walk away and €25 per night. Unavoidable I think, given its location in the old town.

Hotel Rubens is a beautiful little oasis from the bustle of Grote Markt. Our room was on the ground floor and had a private patio space which was quite enjoyable. Location was ideal as we walk everywhere and the hotel is located close to all amenities. There is a small restaurant directly across from the front entrance that has great sharing plates and amazing ice cream! Extra thanks to the staff for finding my husband's forgotten glasses and arranging them to be shipped to another location for us.

The Rubens was a most fantastic find, within a very quick walking distance of bars, restaurants, Cathedral etc. Our room was spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful terrace. There isn't a bar as such in the hotel, but an 'honesty bar', with cold beers, wine, champagne and soft drinks tht you declare on checkout. An ice machine was a welcome addition on a very warm night. Parking was in a private garage a few streets away, but the hotel were happy for us to drop our luggage. We are already makimg plans to return - one night was not enough!

This property has an excellent location for visiting Antwerp. Our room was #10 on the ground level with a delightful patio terrace. The staff was excellent, breakfast was great, and the room more than adequate. The property is clean and super easy walk to many of the sights. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Antwerp. The front desk gave us the three recommendations for restaurants and they were all fabulous.
