A/C did not work properly. Could not change from 26. Restaurant was poor. Beach was great.

Good hotel on the beach with a pool close for easy access. Room was in OK shape, but theres a lot of stairs where ever you wanna go and you can see that some rooms seems to be a bit out of shape in parts of the hotel. Furthest down on the beach so quite, but the thing about Adults Only is a lie as there where children in the pool sometimes.

We were on our Anniversary. I called the property on several occasions to arrange something special for our anniversary and the staff finally asked me to send a message to the MOD or Manager who was never on duty. Mr. JEROSAK. My original message was sent 9 days before arrival and than again 3 days before. No response. Although the front desk staff tried hard to accomadate us and were very kind. We finally after our day of arrival were able to contact the Manager. We were advised that they don't do anything for someones anniversary other than set a table with fake flowers in the smoking section front row to the beach. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone whom has any special needs. I stayed at the Sunset many years ago and dont remember such poor service

Loved this hotel. Not the smartest we have stayed in in the area by any means and maybe getting a little tired, but it was comfortable and friendly, wonderfully located right on the beach and our room was light, bright and spacious. It smelt a little damp at first (maybe not used for a while?), but that was gone after 24 hours, and sea views were sensational. Breakfast was very good as was lunch which we had there once. Only downside was no wifi in rooms, but you could get it free in reception. We had a car so distance from town not a problem for us, but a bit too far to walk and taxis in Khao Lak are a rip off. But I still give it five stars even though it's not 'perfect' as I loved staying there and although over the years we've probably stayed in a dozen or more very different hotels in Khao Lak, this is one of the few I would be very happy to return to.

A nice friendly hotel at the very southern end of sunset beach. The restaurant is located just off the beach, and prices competitive with all others. The pool is clean, with plenty of lounge chairs. And massages right on the beach.

Very quiet and the beach is great, breakfast is a must overall great place to stay. Just need to have plenty of Baht for the taxi rides, due to the distance off of main markets. Many Euro tourists at Thao Lak during this time of year makes it kind of crowded. The local people are friendly and like to have a good time.
