    On May 27, my friend and I checked into the St. Regis San Francisco — and what was supposed to be a luxury stay quickly turned into a nightmare. After a long day, I was looking forward to a relaxing bath, only to discover that the bathtub was damaged and couldn’t hold water. I had to improvise a temporary fix by taping a plastic film over the drain, just to make it usable. Things got worse when I noticed several suspicious fingerprints smeared on the wall. They looked disturbing — almost as if something violent had happened in the room. The whole scene felt straight out of a horror movie, and I barely slept that night. While using the bath, I applied some spa products to help with my dry skin. These left the floor slightly slippery, as expected with such materials. Upon checkout, the hotel charged me a $1,000 cleaning fee, claiming they had to block off the room for an additional night because the spa soap required a full day to clean. This reasoning is absurd and completely unreasonable, so I’ve filed a formal complaint. For the sake of both your wallet and your peace of mind, I strongly advise against booking this hotel.
