Price should come into consideration here. The hotel itself was not something I would go back to. But, plus points are: It is in the center of the town. Private parking at only 3.00 Euro is a steal, as you need it.

The rooms don't look like those in the pics online. They're small and cheaply furnished. We heard people above our room arguing loudly in the night. But the water gets hot, it's cheap, and very close to nice restaurants and bars.

I have stayed in both Kyriad and Campanile hotels within this group in the past and hence expect the Camanile brand to provide better service than the Kyriad. This hotel was marketed on-line as Campanile, but there are no Campanile signs outside and I had to go in and ask if it was the right hotel. Even by Kyriad standards, this leaves something to be desired. I had to return to reception twice after check in. Firstly as the original room offered gave me three single beds (staying solo) and stank of cigarettes. The second was better - a double bed and no smell. The room could still do with redecoration. One light switch (at the entrance) did not operate any light at all. Unlike Campanile, no kettle is provided. The cover on the bathroom extractor fan was missing (see photo), but then the fan itself did not operate. More serious was the state of the fire alarm switch just outside (also see photo). I took breakfast here. It was also dissapointing. The receptionist apologised for the poor quality of the coffee, which was apparently because I had arrived for breakfast at 9.00 (Breakfast hours 07.00 to 10.00). A promise of a freshly made cup of coffee was not kept. The juice dispenser has two buttons, both marked Orange. One delivers Grapefruit. In addition, the internet is poor. I had to carry my computer back to reception to get a signal strong enough to reach the log in page

Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed which was the main reason to chose this hotel. Rooms are very basic yet clean. Felt quite threatened by random people accosting us in the car park asking for cigarettes. Felt very disappointed with the whole experience!

Sadly no restaurant, so we could have a meal or book breakfast, no tea and coffee facilities in the room, the room was very clean, we did not have a tv remote, but, worst of all someone begging for cigarettes in the car park, I have stayed in a lot of Campanile and never had this

The area and outside of the hotel are not that inviting. Backing onto a block of flats and deserted properties with starving stray cats in the car park. This hotel could definitely do with an overhaul.Staff were friendly and the room had everything I needed but Campanile need to bring this property up to their usual standard - its not up to par.

Id read mixed reviews about this place, but I think some people expect the Ritz every time they stay at a hotel, even when theyve only paid 34 Euros. This hotel isnt The Ritz, but its a decent, clean hotel close to the centre of town, with any provisions you might need including (bonus for me) bath (!), kettle and towels. The wood finish to all the furnishings and shutters on the windows also made me feel like I was in an episode of Twin Peaks, staying in a dusty American Motel. If thats your bag, youll like this place. If you want the Ritz, stay at the Ritz.

We stayed here for two nights during Euro 2016. Hotel was easy to find and staff were helpful and polite on check in. Parking was free and secure with a code operated gate at.the entrance. Room was small but clean and was fine for our purpose. The hotel breakfast was very good with a good variety of cereals, pastries and bread with ham and cheese. We didnt try the restaurant for lunch or dinner.Location was a short walk to the Roubaix Grande Place metro stop and it was 15 minutes into Lille centre from there.Roubaix itself has a couple of nice restaurants and bars and also a large MacArthur Glen shopping outlet.
