Hotel Umag Plava Laguna has very nice beaches (sand and also gravel), pools and a waterpark for kids. Breakfast was great though quite crowded. The room was clean and rather large yet visibly not the newest anymore. Umag is a very safe town super suitable for families with children and overall so underrated.

Terrible, avoid at any price! Rooms not clean, bathroom not clean, airconditioning in the room not working, not enough chairs on the beach, not to mention the food quality which is just beyond the level of acceptance. This is such an example of mass tourism! Good thing is the personnel of the hotel which is trying to be kind and friendly in this sad environment!

Room itself was clean and fine. The only problem we had with the hotel was that they put us in a separate building in a suite they were renting from someone else. We literally couldnt get in the building because somebody had abandoned a bunch of old furniture on the other side of the door used to access the building. We literally could not get into the building until someone moved it. The stairway to the suite did little to instill any confidence in what we would end up with. It just looked like a tired old building. However, the room was new and clean. If you get this room, just be prepared to be disappointed in the building, its cleanliness and decor. The room is actually above some government office.

Situated on the water, our views were beautiful. The room was comfortable and hotel servives were excellent. We enjoyed the spa each day, with pools in cavelike settings, saunas, and relaxation rooms. Meals were delicious. We liked walking along the waterfront to the town on a windy day. It was a perfectly relaxing stay.

Specifically asked for a twin room and for a double, then offered us a twin room over top of the kitchens, them eventually go one which we had to accept with the laundry air pipes just outside our balcony. Check out procedure left much to be desired as we weren't allowed to pay bill in both Kunas and card.

We were very warmly greeted at check in. The room was lovely and clean, the hotel beautiful. We enjoyed the dining room very much, swimming in the sea and walking around the park like setting. Kudos

Good location with wonderful view on sea. Delicious food and friendly staff. Hugh choices for breakfast and evening meal so easy to work round dietary needs. The hotel has nice facilities and the room is comfortable. The location is also very good, in front of the beach, with a guests-only parking and at walking distance to Umag. The staff at the reception is extremely helpful and nice,

Wonderful area with very pleasant employees, who even tried to speak in Slovenian. A very nice touch that a welcome message with our names was waiting for us in the room. We did miss information in the hotel room about additional amenities that are offered in the hotel - no information regarding the Wellness Center. Unfortunately the sea side view balconies was also turned towards the restaurant, where all guests were able to see who was on the balconies. Otherwise, our stay was great and would return again.

It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Croatia. the junior suite we had had 2 rooms which made holidaying with young children easier. I would suggest rubber type beach shoes as the beaches are nearly all rocky as are the shallow waters. the pool got a bit crowded at times but not usually for long. overall we had a lovely holiday and would seriously consider returning to the same place.

I was playing in the World Super Seniors Tennis Championships, so location was excellent. Although i booked early on arrival i was given a room for a disabled person. My room was changed but had no balcony which i was very annoyed about. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We had sea view room and it was magnificent. Qualify of food was good and many varieties. Staff was friendly when we checked in and out, also, at restaurant and outside seating cafe. Location of the hotel was great and nice walk along the beach. The outdoor pool was nice too. We enjoyed our stay and we would go back.

Sol Umag is a great place to stay. Just over the border of Slovenia, and quite peaceful. The room had an amazing view of the sea and the staff was extremely helpful. Food in the restaurant was quite authentic and the breakfast/dinner buffet was rather extensive. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a 3-7 night stay!
