A couple of things to keep in mind: The beach, this is a natural thing but font expect beautiful pristine sandy beaches. This seems to be the case across Tunisia as I stayed in few hotels, but there is a lot of seaweed, sea urchin, build up on the beaches. it can be a bit hard to find a place to enter the water and it is a little bit off putting. But it's certainly not the hotels fault. Just an expectation worth keeping in mind. Food and Drink: The food was pretty good. There was enough variation day to day for it to not get boring,though the amount of options for food each day was less than some other places. Breakfast was one of my favourite meal of the day. Desserts for most days was very typical hotel desserts - lots of those cream based desserts, which although there are 50 different types, they all taste pretty much the same. Their fruit was lovely and fresh. In terms of the drinks we had the all inclusive, and while I would recommend getting this. The staff would always serve but when taking empty glasses would never ask if you wanted another one. They seemed to avoid being asked for more drinks but if you did they would happily oblige. If you ordered a cocktail, every time you ordered a cocktail it would be different, sometimes not even remotely what you asked for. And it differed depending on which bar you went to. The pool bar seemed to use their cheapest rum and syrups for just about everything. Though again, they were still usually nice enough, just never the same, and usually not exactly would 'normally' go into that particular cocktail type. They are very generous with the pouring of the spirits if you order something with a coke for example. Honestly sometimes more than 50%, often making the drink undrinkable, so I would advice to ask for singles. I wouldn't recommend the wine. They had one local beer on tap which was nice enough to drink for the whole holiday though they do have other beers which you would need to pay for. Other services: Spa - we didn't use it but thought it was a tad expensive considering you already had paid to be there. And the indoor pool and salt outdoor pool were also extra per day. The room was nice enough, not exactly the pictures. The room did not have a window into the bathroom. There were some simple features which just missed a practical tough e,g no where to hang a towel. The shower head was tiny All of these things are not big deals but just pull away from the fullest feeling of luxury that they may otherwise be able to acheive with some small adjustments. Nothing on the TV's and no HDMI included to watch anything yourself. Overall with all of what may seem like a relatively negative review our time was positive, we had a lovely time, there is enough space to relax and find space for yourself. Some staff were extremely friendly, especially the reception manager.

I had a really nice stay at Royal Azzur Thalasso. The pool area is beautiful and perfect to relax, and the bed was very comfortable which made it easy to rest properly. The hotel is quiet overall, which I really appreciated. The location is convenient and easy to get around, and there’s a good variety of food so you won’t get bored during your stay. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend it.

- Nice, well maintained property with plenty of facilities. - Staff can be hit and miss. The guest relations lady was great!! But some of the staff on the front desk who we would encounter when going in and out of the hotel weren't particularly friendly/quite indifferent. - Rooms are clean and modern. - Lots of variety for food. - Didn't get to use the outdoor pools because it was January (and too cold) but I did go to the attached spa to use their heated seawater pool which was great!! - I would stay here again if ever in Hammamet, and I will definitely be recommending to my family and friends.
