The Hotel Colorado provides everything you need to see Lugano and it is a great value for the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable—and while they aren’t luxurious the air-conditioning is fabulous! Staff is kind and gracious—the gentleman working the front desk even gave me a ride to a nearby grotto restaurant—(Grotto Figini which should not be missed!).

Excellent stay at Hotel Colorado. I arrived very tired to the hotel, but the check-in was fast and the staff was very kind so everything was smooth. The woman at the reception talks multiple languages so it was easy to communicate with her. She provided me recommendations to eat, take the bus, etc. The room was very clean and had all necessary for a short stay. The reservation included unlimited bus ticket during two days which was great to go to places far from the hotel.

Hotel was in a nice location with a large balcony. Staff were in a bad mood both days I were there. A lot of locals staying at the hotel serving dirty looks. Walls were very thin and many people were going around the floors banging on the walls/doors, or playing loud music in their room. Room service entered the room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was up, made for a very awkward experience to say the least. To make up for a bit of it, the location was within walking distance of the train station and 2 bus stops, so at least leaving the hotel was convenient.

Amazing stay! I went with some friends for a last minute weekend trip and the hotel called me before we got there to make sure they set up our room correctly and when we got there, we were able to check in early and they gave us free transportation and discounts for all sorts of things around Lugano. The room was perfect and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay here again!

5 star straight across u ask-!? Well- it a 3.5 star / 5 star hotel- in other words outanding 3.5 - the importance of hotels stays in $witzerland is "near rail station"!!!! A single cab ride 5 miles away could easily break the bank- Colorado - 8 min walk- it was a very nice atmosphere and very very helpful staff! Spend the cab fare on a very nice homemade dinner there instead !! Thank you very much Colorado!!

Take Number 2 bus from train station direction Paradiso and get off at Tassino - the bus stops across from the hotel!The first room we were offered had a bathroom the size of a postage stamp - in fact it was so small that the even smaller shower was in located in the entrance hall with a shower curtain. When we declined the room, we were offered something much more suitable.Once you know your way around, the hotel is within easy walking distance from town and from the lake and a nice stroll away from Paradiso itsself where one can get a ferry.The funicular to Monte Bre (worth a visit for the views although everything closed at the top, this time of year).

Not bad, but they are a little short on staff. The room was very comfy but I could barely get the tv to work on the down time.. The wifi on the top floor also sucks, I couldn't load a YouTube video to save my life.

The hotel is a walking distance from the lake.The rooms are clean but the shower and the washroom are pretty small.I was also surprised to see that the price specified when I booked wifh Expedia was different from the price charged by the hotel. The price at the hotel was 25% higher.
