    This was one of the first accessible hotel rooms I stayed in having left hospital a few days before. I was confined to a wheelchair so needed that accessibility. The Ramada fits that bill in that the accessible room is reached from the level entrance on the ground floor. The corridor to get to it is a little tight but certainly manageable, the room decor being tasteful and the bed comfortable. What lets the hotel, as a whole, down is that the restaurant, bar, gym, etc. are up a couple of stairs so anyone in a wheelchair is instantly excluded. There's not even any alternative route. In mitigation the staff were very accommodating and offered to bring a meal to the room but the social aspects of living in a hotel were denied me. It seems that Ramada has not long taken over the hotel and will probably rectify these access issues in due course. Right now, though, only book-in if you just want to stay in the room.

    Firstly the lift didn't work, then the aircon didn't work and instead an oscillating fan was placed in the room. It had been 28°C during the day. The cover had gone missing off the back of the door card reader so the batteries and internals were exposed. The restaurant had good reviews so we decided to eat there. We waited ages for the drinks and when the arrived they were incorrect. We'd waiting for over 45 minutes after placing our food order to then be told that only some of what we ordered was available. I've hardly ever seen such slow service. I think there were very few staff on duty.

    Pay attention to reviews about lack of functioning AC! Not all booking platforms have been updated. The hotel will charge you the same price as others with functioning AC, then take no responsibility when you get to the lobby and see the small sign on their front desk regarding lack of AC. I showed them my booking, which still indicated AC, and they told me to dispute it with my credit card. Customer service was awful. They provided one shoddy fan for the room that barely worked. We asked for more, and they never came to the room with them, as promised. It was so hot in the rooms that people were sitting in the lobby. The room itself (upgraded suite) was roomy but shabby. The shower door was hanging off its hinge and wouldn’t close. Everything about this experience was horrible. I might have shown some grace if the customer service was better. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
