I love a business trip with class. This is definitely a spot to visit if you plan a getaway with style, some history and peacefulness.

I like to stay in hotels or boutique inns within neighborhoods to get the feel of a city. Plus I’m a history buff!
Alexander Inn was great! I got a wonderful nightly rate after the 4th of July. Beds were very firm, which I prefer. It was nice to have a tv in the room. The view from the 7th floor was great! Iron and ironing board available. Great toiletries and soft large towels.
Happy hours were a nice touch. Wine and beer and charcuterie snacks with brownies. Breakfast was more than enough. Waffles, cereal, toast, boiled eggs, fruit (fresh and dole cups), yogurt, juices (canned), and multiple types of milk.
The Gayborhood is so beautiful and historic. So many trees and beautiful historic homes and alleys. A nightly walk is a must to discover the excellent restaurants, bars, and stores in the area.
The 4 staff I encountered were kind and helpful. The attendant at nightly happy hours told me Betsy Ross’ house was in Philly which I didn’t know. So glad I got to see it!
The location is perfect! I walked to Independence Hall and the Old City several times. Walked to the Magic Gardens. Walked to City Hall. It’s close to Metro trains, PHLASH bus stops, and Jefferson Train station.
My only critique is that the small AC units should be updated. They are kinda noisy. And AC is needed during the Philly Summer.
I was in Philly for a conference and didn’t get to see everything. I’ll be back and will stay here!

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. The room was extremely small and did not match the photos shown on the hotel’s website. The décor felt outdated and was quite different from what was advertised.
Another inconvenience was the air conditioning system, as guests cannot adjust the temperature themselves and must call the reception desk each time they want it changed.
Considering the quality of the room and facilities, I found the price to be much higher than it should have been. The only positive aspect of my stay was the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, as it did not provide good value for the price paid.
