Just moved from New York and housing didn’t work out. Did book great rates on Agoda for this Econolodge. Stayed from beginning December until now February 12,2025.
Sometimes we stayed one night then check out sometimes two night sometimes three.
We’re a couple in our 40s with no kids. We always took our garbage out. We had our own broom to sweep up. Admittedly by accident I took one or two brown wooden hangers by accident because I travel with nearly the same hangers I got a remark about that the next time checking in. II brought them back and then some. Cleaning staff was helpful in the two or three times we’d left something behind and returned it to us. We brought our own toilet paper instead of bothering staff if ran out.
One time we had to change rooms twice in a day. The first room the door wouldn’t lock and then the next room there was a bug problem. We stuck to one of two rooms after that. We didn’t complain. We didn’t ask for anything extra. It was inconvenient twice in one day to switch rooms. We had our own towels so we didn’t have to use the small towels they had which they only provided three and if staying longer than a day you’d definitely want new ones so by using ours and hanging to dry we kept bugging the staff to a minimum. We used our garbage bags so nearly nothing was ever left.
Three days ago upon check in I discovered There was a used towel or bath mat scrunched up wet in bathroom. I didn’t make big deal about it.
Now tonight I decided after the money spent here to have this manager or owner say to me what he did I wasnt going to be back. If not so exhausted I would have gone elsewhere. This will be the last night. Even with great rate and convenience for work I won’t stay here again. Checked in after midnight and as he’s booking us I get a remark please BECAREFUL of towels and sheets. At first I didn’t understand as im tired and I thought at first he was warning us about something. He said we’d made a mess with them. So here’s what the mess was. Soda had been spilled on the floor. I can tell you the floors aren’t cleaned here daily to begin with and because the soda spilled near electronics I grabbed first thing which was yes one of their glorious plush towels (I’m being very sarcastic) and as for the sheets I’d gotten ink on the sheet. I did get most of it wiped off. We’re not talking bodily fluids or smooshed food Perhaps not just soda would have come up off floors if they were cleaned more regularly. We used their laundry every two days. We aren’t slobs by any means. We were polite. I guess I should have spoken up about things I knew hadn’t gotten cleaned up that comes or should come with basic hotel room cleaning. I should have said something about every little thing.

Good extended stay at econolodge. Booked through Agoda for best rate. Ended up staying extended nights. Got same room each time. Clean rooms. Pleasant enough staff. Pillows needs be worked on as does a blanker for bed.
