We stayed at the White Horse during the Mad Marathon weekend, and it was a great choice for the race. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, and the check-in process was quick and easy.
The amenities were thoughtful and convenient, especially the excellent coffee bar and the communal refrigerator for storing food and drinks. The rooms are on the smaller side, and while the property has been updated in many areas, it still shows some wear from what is likely heavy use during ski season since it is so close to Sugarbush Mtn.
The location is excellent for getting to Waitsfield and exploring the Mad River Valley. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay, would recommend the White Horse to others visiting the area, and would happily stay here again for a future Mad Marathon weekend.

The management were excellent. The location is remote. The room is small & the bathroom smaller. The shower was less than 3’x3’. Very tight space. No breakfast but a nice setup for a shared kitchen area.
