Scenic property run “family lodge” style. No upcharge for canoes, kayaks. Excellent value in a beautiful area. We stayed in a dog-friendly unit - clean and spacious. Some areas dated but all safe and clear the property is being updated carefully.

Beautiful view from the room. Wonderful grounds. Canoes, kayaks and paddle board available for no charge. We saw a great blue heron, a pair of osprey and some diving ducks. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

I have stayed at Oceangate twice now. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, with a microwave and frig, making it easy to take a meal in the room. The mattress was excellent and I got a good night's sleep every night. I loved having a view of the water from my balcony, and watching the light change as the sun went down. There was a variety of hot and cold choices each morning at breakfast. My only complaint is that the coffee could be better, other than that, it was a great stay.
