Staff writer as good. Shower did not have a shower curtain and room had an unusual smell. Not bad but strong

First let me say im not sure how this motel has such good reviews or such a high rating. Upon arrival to our room the door has a decent gap around it where you can here parking lot noise/voices. There was hair in the shower. We heard a lady screem followed by multiple cops showing up. The toilet did not flush down leaving toilet paper in the bowl. When we woke up after the first night we were greeted by bed bugs on our pillow. The hotel tried to move us to another room to resolve the issue instead of canceling our second night. Needless to say we did not stay there the second night.

The price we paid for this property for the college Family weekend was 3x what it is worth. Not right to overcharge for such a property for 2 nights.

Easy check in and close to Miami U. Good price for a quick night’s sleep.

The rooms are updated, sound, and very clean. The beds are newer and comfy, but the best part about this property is the above and beyond staff! Thank you, Butler Inn.

Delightful stay. Room was clean, spacious, and restful. I was able to work comfortably in the room. Staff were very friendly and made sure I had anything i needed. 5 minutes from downtown shopping and restaurants. I travel a lot, staying in less expensive hotel/motels. This is one of the most pleasant stays I have experienced and will definitely stay again.

Bathrooms are extremely small and dated. Otherwise fine for the price.

I booked this hotel based on all of the positive reviews, but I think a lot of them are misleading. This is most definitely a motel. It is a renovated, updated, and clean motel, but a cheap motel for sure. Google has this listed as a 3-star hotel, which can't be true. The room was clean and updated, but the room door did not feel secure or fully sealed, and the AC was extremely loud. The bathroom was the least updated with the tub being stained and old. There was also no soap in the bathroom, just shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I'm sure I could have asked for soap because the hotel owner was very kind, but that doesn't feel like something I should have to ask for. The price reflects what you get, a cheap motel, but a clean one with updated flooring.

Amazing stay. Very comfortable, and the staff were extremely welcoming and even accommodated me staying longer than I should have.

Great place to stay when visiting your kid(s) at Miami University. No frills. Not expensive. Get some rest and spend time with your kid on campus.

I appreciated the room because it had no carpet (laminate or whatever it was is much cleaner and is definitely my preference) and because it had a wonderful king size bed. Also, the walk in shower was great for my husband who is currently on a cane, although a grab bar in the shower would have been a wonderful safety feature.

2nd time staying at Butler Inn. Great little motel - just noisy. The owner was cleaning the room next to us at 6AM. Then, he was taking the trash to the dumpster shortly after. My daughter had ear plugs in and didn’t hear any of it, so wear ear plugs.

Vent fan in bathroom hadn’t been touched in a long time if ever. Floor cracked in a few spots. A fairly polished turd. For the price not awful. Bed was clean which is all I really want.

Served its purpose for 1 night but really outdated. Bathroom needs gutted. AC too loud to run at night so got hot. Staff was nice at check in and check out.

This was a great hotel for a quick overnight stay while visiting the university. No frills, just the basics but it’s all we needed!

It was very clean and the bed looked nice and felt nice. It was small but okay. There were places where painting touch up was needed as well as caulking around bath sink. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. Not fancy but clean.

This is definitely a lesson in you get what you pay for. It is a renovated motel and by renovated I mean they basically just purchased cheap new materials/paint to cover up what was there before. It definitely isn’t a hotel. The pictures online look a lot nicer than it was and I’m really not sure how it got so many 5 star reviews (the reason I decided to give it a chance). I could see daylight through the door cracks so it didn’t seem super secure. There was hair in the bathroom tub and what looked like mold near the ceiling. The bathroom sink also didn’t drain. The floor laminate was buckling in some places and the main room and bathroom could really use a new coat of paint. The people running the place were very nice so that was the best thing going for the place. Overall, fine considering the price and the fact that is so close to Miami U (5 min drive) but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The property was comfortable. The issue I had was that I accidently booked on the wrong date, then cancelled within the cancellation policy, and rebooked for correct date. The property would not refund me for the incorrect booking date. Therefore, I essentially paid twice for the same booking. This is poor customer service considering I realized my mistake immediately and rebooked for the correct date right away and within the cancellation policy
