The hotel is in a very nice spot. Unfortunately the pool was closed for renovation which wasn't shown on hotels.com. The checkout also differed during the summer period which we luckily spotted at the last minute. The WIFI didn't work either. Kind of brings the overall impression down. The view was great, the staff was friendly and the food very delicious.

We booked a room by a hotel booking site. We could read about two outside pools and also see balconies at the pictures. We became disappointed upon arrival, as the pools were closed for renovation and our room didn't have any balcony. We had to pay additional 500 SEK so we could change the room to a family room with balcony. But pools...? Of course, not open. However, the hotels homepage informed about the renovation. But not the hotel booking site, which was a little bit disappointing. So, it was a big mistake by us to not check the hotel site before booking. However, the room was very nice, but we also could see some spider webs at the balcony (but NOT inside!), probably due to the lack of hotel guests during the corona pandemic. It was a beautiful weather, and we could let the door to the balcony be opened all the time. Our room had a wonderful view over the archipelago, birds and boats. Please, when booking, look carefully if the room has a view over the sea or not! In the evening we had a three-course meal. Completely wonderful! And the breakfast in the morning... A fantastic, well tasting and varied breakfast. Everything extremely fresh. To recommend? Absolutely. Perhaps my words here sound "negative" but regarding the pools it was not lack of information from the hotel and the spider web? We didn't care and I think just now, during the pandemic, not everything is "normal". And it had been possible to ask the hotel maid to remove it. But as mentioned, we didn't care

The room was hot and without climate controls. The window and balcony door couldn’t be opened because the balcony was swarmed with gnats and flies.

The location is great especially if you’re heading to or from Gotland. The hotel is quite dated but not in bad condition just old design. We stayed there the hottest night of the year 2020 and the our sub terrain room was too warm for comfort and sleep. If you drive an electric car be avare that there are only 2 parking slots available for charging rated at single phase 10A. Friendly staff served an ok meal much better than dining at the ferry. If they solve the charging for a Tesla we’ll be back.

Stayed only one night but really enjoyed the location and the views.

Some of the rooms are renovated. Unfortunately we got a non-renovated room without A/C. The bathroom is really old. There are glasses left from last night around the pool. They don’t have enought sun chairs outside. But the breakfast was good and the staff is really nice!

One drawback IMO was the lack of proper night blinders. Normal dark hanging curtains is not enough to really contain nordic summer morning sunrises, and a room that becomes pretty light again already around 04.10 in the morning is hard to sleep well in if you - like me - is sensitive to that. But the sunrise view was spectacular.

I never checked in at this hotel. The reservation was made in error, not realizing that the hotel is 80 kilometers away from Kalmar. When searching for hotels in Kalmar, this hotel was given as a place to stay. This is a mistake by Expedia, to provide a hotel suggestion that is 80 kilometers away from the destination. I instead stayed at the Best Western Plus in Kalmar at additional cost. As a result, I am requesting a refund for the reservation at the Corallen hotel.

Excellent all round except for approach via an industrial estate. Relaxing environment.

Water views and breakfast were excellent. We needed an extra room that was booked several months ago and due to medical problems two family members cancelled two rooms several weeks ago but, we were charged a much higher rate for a single room. Upon questioning reason, we were told " due to contcert". We were a family that stayed three nights in 8 rooms?

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location right onto the gorgeous Baltic coastline. The service was typically Swedish, efficient, welcoming, informal and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. I would have stayed longer if work had not dragged me away

Hotel staff was great, very friendly and helpful, especially at check in. I enjoyed the marina view and there were nice paths for a walk in the area. The restaurant was very good, food cooked properly and nice presentation. Not cheap, not much in Sweden is, but quite fair for what you get. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice to fill up.

Waterfront location, a little ways out (beyond walking distance) from city center. Hotel had many nice amenities, including sauna and pool. There were many small conversation areas and meeting rooms. A good breakfast buffet was provided.

Not a very nice walk to the city center through the industrial area. At least there was a Pokemon stop and a gym!
