The breakfast was a complete buffet with so many options, and everything was delicious and fresh. Staff was also very pleasant and helpful. Lady at check in was wonderful and room was comfortable and clean.

I was very disappointed with the stay at the Scandic Helsinki Aviacongress. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, despite this(and despite supposedly having gold tier membership with hotels .com) the room we were put in was very poor. It was 2nd floor(as Europeans consider it).. the window looked out onto a flat roof and obstructing at least 50% of the window immediately outside was a huge aircon unit. I'm amazed that they put paying guests in this room at all, and don't just use it as a storage cupboard. It was a really depressing outlook to be given in a hotel that is not exactly cheap, or in a prime location. Further, inside the room there was a 3rd fold away bed. Inside the locked bed compartment was a light that was turned on. The only way we could find to turn it off was to remove the card, which of course turned off all our lights. In my opinion this represented a possible fire hazard. So we ended up removing the card at night and leaving my son's phone torch on as he doesn't like sleeping in total darkness. My experiences at this hotel in the past were acceptable. But I think it is inexcusable that we were given a room like this.

The hotel was great. The room was spacious, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was well equipped with a lovely shower. The food was great, and there was an excellent selection of drinks and snacks available to purchase. My one qualm was the price of drinks - €9.60 for a pint of Finnish lager on tap. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Very conveniently located next to the airport, and the free shuttle service worked a treat.

The man that was at the desk when we arrived was not friendly or helpful. There is a sister hotel across the street where we had to go to get dinner. Dinner was not good. We really had nothing good to say about our stay.

Close to the airport, good breakfast buffet, ok-price, shuttle bus was really handy 👌 All what we needed after missing our flight due to rail problems. Shower room had some hairs from previous people and shower door design caused whole bathroom floor getting soaked but it happens (I put the towel ready on the floor when went into the shower and it got soaked, not problem for us but left very wet towel for someone to clean 🙈).

The hotel locates conveniently near the airport, a shopping centre and transport links. I was going to just stay one night before continuing my journey, but realised the hotel would be a good place to stay for a longer Helsinki / capitol region visit, too.

The room had two twin beds side-by-side, but only one side was made up. Even though we booked it as a king for two people, there were only two small pillows. We had to ask housekeeping to come in and make up the other side. In addition, the toilet hadn’t been flushed and had brown sediment in it.

I've stayed here before and never seen the hotel in such a dreadful condition. There has been a bigger group staying, which was loud and created a disgusting mess around the place with food spread across the hall and so on. I suggest not mixing regular guests with school groups on the same floor. It was dreadful, especially if you have a very early flight and book an airport hotel to get some sleep.

Never again! The bathroom sink was clogged and toilet was barely functional. I asked for a different room and the staff did find one that was more basic, which I appreciated. The second room was fine it I noted that the rubber lining of the door was frayed. A sink near the elevator was not working and a sign said it needed maintenance. The hotel needs maintenance workers 24/7 and doesn’t have it. Since the person who changed my room at night seemed stress, the person in the morning said no discount for the inconvenience was possible because I had checked out- rather she had checked me out as I was asking!
