The staff were nice and helpful. The beds were too soft to have a good sleep. FYI, no soap for washing habds, no shampoo.

Breakfast was good.

Pleasant short walk from Bois de Vaux bus stop. Smooth path, no stairs, easy access even with a luggage. Room was spacious and clean. Toilets were also nice and clean. Towels are chargeable so remember to bring your own if you don't want to rent one. 24h front desk was a nice to have; knowing that help is there whenever you need it. super friendly staff :) would 10/10 come back here to stay.

Hostel is very expensive for what if offers. No towels and soap. Internet is fast.Parking is outside in front of hotel with barrier. Room is dark and ugly and bad smell. Beds were very unconfortable. Breakfast is poor with just some salami, yoghurt and some jams. No supermakets nearby.

Stayed here for three nights at new year. Facilities were very good, and the building was very modern and spacious. The room was small and basic, but very warm and with a comfortable bed. Location was a little out of the way, altough there was a bus stop two minutes away, and a metro stop a ten minute (uphill) walk away, along with some bars, cafes, takeaways and shops. The buffet breakfast was very basic continental fare. The only issue I had with my stay was that check-in seemed to take a very long time. This was especially surprising as I received an email prior to my stay asking for me to provide my details, in order to speed up the check-in process on arrival. Overall though, I was happy with my stay. Although the location may be further from town than some people would like, the facilities were very good for the price

Decent food and cheaper than restaurant options in town. Friendly staff. Rooms in good condition. Lights are quite dim, which I guess helps when other people are sleeping. Closets in rooms are missing locks or rings to use a padlock.

The hostel is a far from the train station, and a 6 minute walk to the nearest bus or 10 minutes to the nearest metro station. breakfast was what you could expect from a hostel, nothing exceptional, but it did the job. Very friendly and helpful staff. Single en suite room good size Walkable distance to lake / heart of the city. Good to have free transport card available too.

The staff was quite helpful during my stay. However, facing the heat wave in Europe, there was no air conditioning or fan in the hostel. My room at the top level was very hot and I couldn't sleep well during my stay. I think this is the problem not just in the hostel, but in most of buildings in Europe.

The staff is fantastic and very knowledgeable about the city and it’s surroundings.

Terrible communication gap between the hotel and Expedia. They had no clue whether I had paid or cancelled the booking etc. Fortunately things got sorted out. But it was not a pleasant experience

It was amazing. This is a fabulous place to stay in every respect and I enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast. Very welcoming staff, very comfortable and extremely good value for money.

Reasonable hostel. Can't expect much as this is just a hostel only. Room and bathroom are small. Nice lobby and restaurant. Only provide a microwave and kettle at a small corner. If there is a communal kitchen, will be great.

Bring earplugs. Excellent value. Bus and metro pass /free transit pass was useful. Complete breakfast with great coffe. Slow computerized checkin. 4 minute walk to good swimming. On #25 bus line. Reliable WiFi after checking in.

The location was great, and you get a lot for the price. Service was super friendly and helpful. No AC in the rooms so it was a little warm. Loved how close they are to the lake and running trails.

My husband and I were unexpectedly late in arriving in Lausanne, Switzerland, for a stop-over and "stuck" looking for a room. None available at the hotels we had tried and then it was suggested we try the Jeunotel. We drove over and my husband went in and spoke with the clerk. It was so dark with virtually no exterior lighting that I became nervous and went inside. I requested that we be shown the room, and was appalled. We were directed down a very dark and narrow corridor and through a door to the outdoors. when we reached the room and opened the door, I was unable to enter due to the stench. The whole place and the room in particular resembled what I would think a cell block would look like. I have never been to a homeless shelter, but I have to believe they are better than this place. Rooms that smell bad are not clean! It goes without saying that we chose not to stay, but I write this blurb in the interest of helping some fellow traveler from being led astray. \n \nWe wound up driving the extra 2 hours to our Zurich destination, rather than consider staying at the Jeunotel. \n \nSince we did not actually stay here, the "checkout" date is filled in for completion purposes.
